I know a lot of people won’t see this as Facebook isn’t playing ball at the minute but thought I’d write it anyways ….
So today wasn’t my day for the business, and these days happen as a small business and let me tell you how and why :
So I decided on Tuesday to do a project which I don’t do very often (coloured layers) for a lady who needed them done by Thursday (ie today) and me being me can’t say no so thought hey I’ll give it a go, so I did! All was going well, printing paper ordered (at £7) and checked for vinyl which I already had, right bargain I thought, the extra money I earn I’ll put towards Christmas stock… win win! So I thought ….
It came to this morning, when my printing paper arrived… I put it in the print and oh no… the picture I need is yellow, it shouldn’t be yellow 🙈 so I tried again (at this point I only have 3 printing pages left as I only bought a 5 pack, not good when the project needs 2 sheets). Cut it long story short the printer broke so I needed a new one (£65 later). Then I discover, I’ve got the wrong vinyl so I need to go and get more of that (£11 on vinyl) my own fault for not reading it properly. Finally the project is done and look at it, they turned out amazing but my project cost me £85 (not including my own labour or electric costs) but I only charged £15 for it, and know why I did that because I do this as a hobby not a business. Yes businesses don’t always go to plan, and things I make don’t always either but I’m not here to rip people’s eyeballs out with prices. My prices, in my opinion are so reasonable, I don’t think i over charge at all and I thank each and everyone of you’s for buying from me when you can, I know times are hard, very bloody hard in fact but it’s really much appreciated when you do buy from my business.
Okay rant over for the day, but seriously how nice are these memory t shirts 🥰
