I’m delighted to finally share the booking link for the first of my two exclusive luxury wreath-making workshops in beautiful Alloway, Ayr 🎄🥂

This year, alongside workshops in Glasgow and other local venues, I’ll be bringing the Bespoke Blooms experience to Alloway for two very special festive evenings.

Expect a warm welcome, beautiful seasonal foliage, luxurious decorations and everything you need to create your own stunning, professionally styled Christmas wreath, all while enjoying a relaxed and beautifully festive atmosphere. ✨🌿

Corporate workshops are also available throughout December. If you’re looking for a memorable festive experience for your team, please get in touch soon, as December dates are already beginning to fill.

🎟️ A little note about booking: The booking system may ask you to select a table, but please don’t worry all tables will be joined together to create one lovely, sociable workshop experience. There is no need to coordinate table bookings with friends or family.

Spaces are intentionally limited to ensure every guest receives plenty of guidance and can fully enjoy this exclusive festive experience.

🌸 A little life update from my wee flower patch🌸

Back in February, after a period of reflection and soul-searching, I planted my wee cut-flower patch. I’ve barely had time to tend to it this summer because I’ve been so busy with work & Bespoke Blooms thankfully my mum, dad, hubby and God watered it when I couldn’t.

And now look at it blooming beautifully. 🌸

It feels like such a lovely reminder that life is about kindness, nurturing one another and remembering that, no matter how tough things get, there is always time to bloom.

I’m so in love with this garden, and I hope my beautiful mum-in-law in heaven would be too. When she passed, she led me towards finding comfort and joy in flowers and I’ll always be grateful for that.

But floristry is a lot more than what you see. The flowers you see are probably only 10% of the work ordering, conditioning, planning, creating, cleaning, communicating and managing perishable stock.

So I’m taking a few weeks to slow down, focus on my family and create a more sustainable business plan.

For now, I won’t be taking any new wedding florals or décor bookings. I’m looking forward to my remaining weddings this year, but going forward my focus will be on:

🌿 Seasonal flowers
🌿 Workshops & creative experiences

Perhaps weddings will return one day when the boys are older. And in the meantime I’ve got some gorgeous fresh flowers left, so keep your eyes peeled for some VERY special offers over the next couple of days! ✨🫶

After an incredibly busy few months here at Bespoke Blooms, I’ve made the decision to take 2 weeks off from next Wednesday 🌿 ( I will have some beautiful arrangements to offer before then )

It’s something I’ve really needed to think carefully about. Running a floristry business alongside nursing, family life and everything else that comes with having a busy household can sometimes mean that the balance gets a little lost.

And there’s another exciting chapter beginning for me too. I’m starting my Master’s degree in Nursing in September🎓💙

So, I’m taking a little breathing space, not because I’m stepping away from Bespoke Blooms, but because I want to step back, reset and make some plans for the future.

These two weeks will give me time to work on the business behind the scenes, look at how I can create a better balance between family, nursing, my studies and floristry, and most importantly, refocus on the areas of floristry that I’m truly passionate about.

Going forward, Bespoke Blooms will be taking a little pivot, with a stronger focus on:

✨Beautiful, bespoke funeral and larger funeral tributes

✨Wedding floral packages

✨ Events and larger-scale floral work

✨Meaningful, personal flowers where I can really put my heart into the work

I’ll also be having a little clear-out of some of my artificial flowers, wedding décor and styling items over the coming weeks. So if you’re a bride who is DIYing your wedding, or simply looking for some beautiful décor pieces, keep an eye on the page as I’ll be popping items on here for sale. 💐

And finally, a huge thank you.

Thank you to every single person who has ordered flowers, recommended me, shared my posts, trusted me with your weddings and celebrations, or allowed me to create flowers for someone you love at one of life’s more difficult moments.

Bespoke Blooms has grown so much, and I’m incredibly grateful for every bit of support. 🫶

I’m not slowing down because I love floristry any less, quite the opposite. I’m taking a little time to make sure I can continue doing it in a profitable way that works for me, my family, my nursing career and my studies, while still allowing me to put my heart into the floristry work I love most.

Here’s to a little reset, some exciting plans and the next chapter of Bespoke Blooms Floristry. 🌿🤍

Pop down and help yourself to some flowers for your loved one’s grave.

The white ones have been waiting to come down for almost 2 weeks ( but I’ve been so busy ) so will need a bit of trimming so take your scissors. ✂️

One bunch down, 200 stems to go! 🌿🌸

90% of floristry is the part you don’t see.

It’s the planning, consulting, ordering ( many flowers at different timings dependant on their use ) conditioning, preparing and maintaining hundreds of stems before they ever become a beautiful arrangement.

Today’s job? Conditioning a mountain of flowers so they’re perfectly hydrated, healthy and ready to work their magic. ✨

It might look like I’m “just doing flowers” but there’s a LOT that happens behind the scenes before that finished bouquet or arrangement reaches you. 💐

Hats off to all my fellow florist friends out there juggling this crazy but beautiful life🫶
