This property has recently undergone a complete transformation. Unfortunately, the previous tenants left every room in an unliveable condition, and the photos shown were taken after a full clearance and deep clean had already been completed.

It’s been a terrible experience for the landlord, but I’m pleased to have been able to help restore the property. The landlord has been a pleasure to work with throughout the process, and it’s rewarding to see the property brought back to life and ready for new occupants.

The refurbishment is now nearing completion, and the property is scheduled to be carpeted next week ahead of the new tenants moving in. Another successful turnaround, ready for its next chapter.

🔥 A Wee Update From Whites Home Improvements 🔥

For all my new and existing customers, I thought I’d give a wee insight into what keeps me busy behind the scenes.

Most people know me through Whites Home Improvements, where I’ve been proudly self-employed as a painter & decorator since 2022. What some people might not know is that alongside running my business, I’ve also been serving as an On-Call Firefighter for the past 3 and half years. 🚒

When I’m not painting houses, you’ll usually find me:
Helping customers with DIY and home improvement work Or answering a call-out from the fire station.

I genuinely love both roles and take pride in keeping busy and helping people wherever I can.

So if I’m halfway through painting your living room and you suddenly hear the pager going off and me heading out the door… don’t panic 😅 I’ll be back to finish the job as soon as I can.

At Whites Home Improvements, it’s not just painting and decorating either. If there’s another job needing done around the house, feel free to ask. If it’s something outside my trade, I’ll always do my best to recommend local tradesmen because supporting local businesses matters. 👍

The boys volunteered to work a Sunday today, fare chuffed for them we have conquered some mile stones here 🤣.

This job was for a returning clientele one of the best clients we’ve worked for🫶.

The new look to this bedroom 🫰🏻✨
Here’s the official guide to creating a feature wall like a true professional Red Bull–powered decorator:

1. Snap that before picture with all your tools laid out. Very serious. Very professional. Also proves you were prepared… even if you weren’t.

2. Whip out the laser level like you’re about to perform surgery. Mark out that first length, paste it, and for the love of wallpaper, make sure it’s level because if this one’s wonky, the whole wall will look like it’s had a long night out.
Also: take a sip of Red Bull. This is crucial.

3. Half the wall done? Step back. Admire. Judge. Question your life choices.
Then sip more Red Bull to reassure yourself.🥤

4. Now, you don’t have to stop before the last length…
But I do.
It’s my tiny celebration pause: “Nearly done, mate.”
Perfect moment for another victory sip of Red Bull.

5. Hoover up 👍 because looking tidy makes you feel like you’ve got your life together.

6. Move everything back, take that satisfying “after” photo, and finish that final glorious sip of Red Bull.
Stand back. Admire. Pretend there was never any chaos.

Over the weekend we’ve been at Flynns Boatyard giving it a new look in the conservatory 👏.

This is a great example of how a room can feel overwhelming when too many colours compete for attention. With no clear contrast or balance, the space lacked direction and harmony.

By refreshing it with a clean grey and white palette, we’ve created a modern, calming look that instantly feels more organised and inviting. Grey and white simple, timeless, and always a win.
