New habit: at Half Moon Workshop. The workspace tends to get pretty cluttered, and it's great to have everything within reach, but it would be better if it was a little more organised. Truthfully, there's more mess out of the frame, but laying out today's projects is a good start.

The story:

The artist behind Half Moon Workshop only began making lace last winter. Some of the pieces she created in the process of building up her skills have a few errors and imperfections reflecting the learning curve, but does that mean they should go to waste? We don't think so.

"Slight seconds" is a term that usually refers to products with minor factory errors—not significant enough to be unfit for sale, but enough to merit a discount. The pieces the artist created in the process of developing her skills are now being transformed into jewellery, bookmarks and more, and they may be a little uneven or untidy, so they will be sold at exclusive bargain prices. This was the artist's first attempt at a larger pattern. This is a type of stitch said to have been invented centuries ago by Katherine of Aragon. The honeycomb pattern reminds us of the ; what do you think?

Rather than a clasp, you fashion this by tying the cords to your preferred length.
