One of the most magical days of the year has arrived and I am excited for today's celebration! The Samhain is the ancient time of year to mark the end of Summer, welcome in the dark months and remember those no longer with us. Did you know that the Rowan Tree represents fire and for a very, very long time, people have hung Rowan twigs, and their berries, with red thread?
It was said to offer protection for your home and person from bad luck, evil and witches. Many homes still have Rowans planted in their gardens or near their entrances.
'Rowan tree and red threed,
Put the witches to their speed!'
