my hooded cowl in Rico Creative Melange Alpaca DK. The brioche pattern is taken from the Foliage Scarf by I’m especially happy with managing to graft the top (each side separately). Hopefully some better pics (modelled by me, rather than my cushion) in the not too distant future

I won !

Well, it was a little more certain than usual. These socks were knit toe up and two at a time, so I could keep going until I ran out of yarn. Knowing how many rounds I could get from each stripe also really helped me maximise my yarn usage 😁

I forgot to post earlier that I finished my in the rico cashmeri sock yarn. It’s the first time I’ve made it with a self striping yarn (they would be lovely chunky stripes on socks) and I love the way it has worked out with the stripes highlighting the construction.

My first plant dyed skein! (Next to an undyed one for comparison). 100% wool, mordanted with alum, dyed with bramble stems and leaves foraged locally about two weeks ago. I’m really happy with how it turned out!!

The extract from the brambles and the wool in the dye bath. I’m suspecting it will be some sort of brown.

It’s been over a year since I did the fabulous workshop with , but I finally have some wool in the pots! I’ve no idea if this will work, but I’ve got to start somewhere. I’m mordanting the wool with alum and have bramble stems/leaves cut from along the White Cart making the dye bath 🤞🤞🤞
