Showcase Glass Fused Glass Artist (also sometimes referred to as Warm Glass) I am now based in Glasgow where I have a small working studio.

I moved to Scotland around 12 years ago and opened my working studio, Showcase Glass, in November 2011 in Stirling. I am now trading under my own name Jon Piccolo together with the Showcase Glass brand. I am a creative, vibrant and dynamic fused glass artist who likes to share my knowledge during regular workshops. My work is very tactile and textual and I have a diverse range of both functional a

nd artistic glassworks. Unlike most artists I encourage people to ‘touch and feel’ my work to appreciate its uniqueness and form.

“I am not the type of person that can just sit back and watch. I need to be in amongst the action and learn by getting my hands dirty by experiencing, doing and touching, using a wide range of materials, techniques and styles which I hope brings creativity, vibrancy, fluidity, excitement, texture and movement to my glass art.”

I welcome Commissions from your own design from small ‘one-off’ private individual pieces through to larger collections for corporate organisations including wall art, indoor décor, statement pieces, garden art, awards/trophies and splash-backs for hobs/ovens, kitchens and bathrooms. I also have a range of glass gifts which can be personalised for special occasions such as birthday, new baby, baptism, wedding, engagement, anniversary, retirement, etc.

My flat has just gone on the market with Yopa. You are the very first to know 😀

It's a fantastic split-level flat that is bright and deceptively spacious with double height ceiling and amazing views over the River Clyde and Glasgow Green - forever changing depending on the season.

It is in a nice quite development, only a 15 minute walk to the City Centre, with its own residents' parking space.

I am going to miss it for sure, but having had it for 22 years it is now time for a change. Both sad to be leaving but excited for the future.
