We've priced up all the new houses at the Hawkhead Gardens development in Paisley. We are very experienced in supplying and fitting new build houses and apartments and we know the type of carpets and flooring that customers tend to select. So here's a handy guide as to what to expect to pay for the flooring and carpets in your new house or apartment.
All these deals include:
1. European 7mm laminate flooring for the living room, hall and kitchen - with underlay and beading - you pick the colour.
2. Our best selling family home carpet for all bedrooms, stairs and landings where applicable - with underlay and gripper - you pick the colour.
3. European vinyl flooring for the bathroom, ensuite etc
4. Standard door bars where required
5. All these estimates include fitting.
We are aware that Taylor Wimpey offer Cormar Carpets, we also supply Cormar, the initial quotes are for our best selling family home carpets - at the end of the post we will also quote for Cormar Carpets.

How it works:
1. Send a message to us here on Facebook, or call the shop, and let us know the type of house that you have bought.
2. Tell us which type of flooring you want.
3. *We will review the floor plan and confirm our estimate based upon your choice of flooring.
4. Come into the shop and have a look at the laminates, carpets and vinyl floors offered as part of the package deal.
5. You can change or upgrade the package as you wish. And you choose the colours etc
6. Once again we will confirm our estimate based upon your selection of flooring and the floor plan.
7. We then arrange to visit your new home to take accurate measurements and confirm the final price.
8. You pay a deposit to secure the fitting date.
9. We arrange everything for you, our delivery and fitting crews will have your house ready within a few hours.
10. You move in - it's all nice and easy.
You are in control at every stage. We have given you estimate based upon the floor plan, you confirm your selection, we update the estimate, we measure, we confirm the cost, and at this point you decide if you want to proceed. We know how important getting this right without hassle is to you, and we will use all our experience to make this part of your house move as smooth and as easy as possible.
You can change or upgrade as you wish, we have all types of flooring available including 8mm, 10mm and 12mm laminate flooring, tile effect flooring, high gloss flooring, and herringbone flooring. We also have a vast range of carpets, engineered wood and solid wood floors as well as luxury vinyl tile flooring. We will adjust everything to suit you. Upgrades are at additional cost.

*The above estimates are fair and accurate. The only things that throw them out tend to be unusually large stairwells, or concrete floors if you are selecting laminate downstairs. We need to add a specialist laminate underlay for new concrete floors. That's not an issue if you select carpets downstairs. We'll quote for the specialist underlay when we know which areas you wish to laminate.
*After talking to customers about this deal, we would like to clarify and reassure you on a couple of issues. We supply and fit new build houses every day in the week. Here's another wee list of things for you to consider:
1. We know that entry dates can move and that it is almost always out of your control. That's fine, we will rebook your fitting dates at no cost to you.
2. Buying your new house is exciting, you are more than welcome to come into the shop well before your entry date and get some ideas for your new home. You can't be too early, we love seeing you, and we'll give you a further estimate ( as promised above ) once you have selected your flooring. You're the boss - and if you are not sure of your flooring requirements, we'll advise you. And here's the bit that might surprise you - we'll often advise you to spend less rather than more. We know the latest flooring fashions and we know what's value for money.
3. We're never that far wrong with our estimates, however, we do need to check sizes before finalising the price. House builders allow what's known as a tolerance when building, so rooms are rarely exactly the size they say they are on the plans. We know that, leave that to us.
4. How much notice do we need? Two weeks is fine, but most of our new build customers have settled on their final choice of flooring a month before their moving date. Once again, you are welcome to come into the showroom months in advance to have a look around - trust us - we would do exactly the same thing.
5. Don't get stressed, leave it to us to take you through the process. We know the site rules, we know about habitation certificates, we know the timeframes involved, in short - we know what to do - that's why you come to us. And here's the best bit:
6. Hand us the keys and walk away. Come back a few hours later and your home will be ready.
And one last thing - we cover the entire central belt of Scotland from Ayr to Edinburgh, Dumbarton to Dunfermline, Balloch to Biggar, Gourock to Grangemouth. Glasgow, Lanarkshire, you get the idea. We sometimes venture further afield too, Dundee and Dumfries are not out of the question - just message is and we'll have a chat. Also, we can come to you with our sample van which has thousands of samples.
As promised, here are the estimates using Cormar Carpets - we'll use Primo Plus for the purpose of these estimates, we have the full range of Cormar Carpets available. So to remind and clarify the basis of the estimates - they include:
