Our stores in Glasgow, Buchanan Galleries and Edinburgh, 117-119 George Street sell an extraordinary range of beautiful art and design products. Every penny you spend at the Scottish Design Exchange goes directly to the (300 and growing) hard-working local artists, designers and creators
– some work in living rooms or kitchens, some in small or shared studio spaces. It’s a model that’s caught the imagination of artists, shoppers, economists and the UK media. Here’s how it works. Each artist/designer pays a nominal rent for a display space. That rent pays for staff, marketing and upkeep while the artists retain 100% of their profits. It works for us all. That’s why we are growing. First Edinburgh, now Glasgow – who knows where’s next. We also have an online shop, and many more exciting projects are coming.
