Join us for a new woodcut workshop! Two sessions over the weekend with a comprehensive hands-on introduction to woodblock printing, covering tools, materials, and techniques.

Participants will have the chance to carve their own block, print it with traditional tools, and explore the rich history of early printed book arts.

I cut this block back in November during the three days at Bogforum. Intended as a 'show and tell' block, I didn't expect to almost finish it while attending the event, but it was quite productive. Now I need to find a similar motif for the next one!

📖 Over the past few years, I've been working with 15th-century printing methods, using a hand-built wooden press, handmade paper, and traditional inks and type. In this talk, I will share insights from my research and printing projects, discuss the process behind Prelo Prints' limited-edition publications, and show examples of printed works, woodcuts, tools, and materials - including rare and handmade items.

⚓️ New print in the shop ⚓️
The 'Argo' block was originally cut for the cover of the edition 'How Jason Conquered the Golden Fleece'. The ancient tale of Jason and the Argonauts is a source of inspiration, blending heroism and wonder. The text accompanying the woodblock print is from Minerua Britanna, or, A garden of heroical devises by Henry Peacham, from 1612.

Handprinted in Denmark, using our reproduction 15th-century wooden printing press, on 120gms handmade linen laid paper from Paper Mill - Fine papers made by hand.
