Last week, the Orme Architecture team swapped site visits and design meetings for sheep, sunshine and a little healthy competition.

We kicked off the day with sheep herding, (harder than it looks!) followed by some Farm Olympics (where our competitive sides emerged).

After working up an appetite, we enjoyed a picnic lunch at the beautiful Nunney Castle before heading to Hauser & Wirth for a dose of architectural inspiration, a wander around the galleries and a much-needed cold drink.

To round off the day, we headed back to the office for garden games and an incredible pizza feast from Soul Dough.

A brilliant day with a brilliant team. Whether we're solving design challenges or trying to outsmart a flock of sheep, it's the people around us who make Orme Architecture what it is.

This contemporary home is now entering its final stages, and it's fantastic to see the design taking shape.

From the crisp brickwork and deep overhangs to the striking timber cladding and expansive glazing, every detail has been carefully considered to create a home that feels both modern and connected to its surroundings.

We're looking forward to sharing the completed photography once the finishing touches, landscaping, and interiors are complete.

We're delighted to congratulate Daisy Denny-Higgins on her well deserved promotion to Associate Director at Orme Architecture.

Joining us in January 2016 as a Part I Architectural Assistant, she progressed to Part II Architectural Assistant in August 2018, before qualifying and becoming an Architect in December 2021. Over the past 10 years, she has consistently demonstrated professionalism, creativity and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional architecture.

Her promotion to Associate Director is a testament to her hard work, leadership and the invaluable contribution she has made to our practice.
