And so, the time has come to say our final goodbye.
Dixie Dot Crafts is now officially closed.
Whether you joined us for just a chapter or were along for the whole ride, one thing is certain: Dixie Dot wouldn't have been what it was without you.
I never dreamed of what this little studio would achieve. I never imagined seeing thousands of you through the doors every year, or being able to support so many wonderful staff along the way.
I originally opened Dixie Dot because I believed in the healing power of creative downtime, and I wanted to build a job I truly loved. I also needed security for me and my then-7-year-old after a really tricky time, knowing that if there was one thing I could rely on, it was my own graft, grit, and resilience.
Closing our doors isn't a measure of failure—in fact, it's quite the opposite. Part of being a businesswoman is knowing when a chapter has reached its natural, beautiful conclusion, and knowing when it’s time to take all those hard-won lessons into the future.
Each of you unknowingly helped shape that future. You might have just come in for a lovely few hours of pottery painting, but behind the scenes, you helped me figure out how to run a business from the ground up: how to fix things when they went wrong, how to learn what I didn't know, and crucially, how to keep genuine happiness at the very heart of it all.
So as this door closes, I want to thank you.
Thank you for your support, your loyalty, and your friendship over the years. To everyone who carved out a piece of their family budget for us, celebrated a milestone, trusted us to squish your babies' toes into clay, or simply popped in to switch off from the world for an hour or two: it has been a true honour to be a small part of your lives.
I will forever be grateful.
