My Summer project 'Little Daub' is at that point where its time to share it with others. No more standing in the dark with the windows covered faffing with wooden toys, cuddly bears and an ickle sausage dog in a matchbox. I need to get a grip and remember this was supposed to be a proper store. Think new & pre-loved treasure for Babies to 5. Wooden toys, re-fashioned shirts, a giant cuddly pufferfish, dreamy mobiles, vintage artwork, ruffle cushions & my favourite children's books. It's been a joy sourcing for this project. I hope it's loved like I love it, but like any retail store it's the customers that will tell me.... and I must remember it is in fact just a 3-month 'pop-up'. Opening 12th September.

I went and did something a little silly & fun, because right now I need something silly & fun. But it's been wonderful to discover all these amazing products made for little people. Watch this space for updates. Opening September 2026. I would love for you guys to come along for the ride.

Ps. If I was in therapy they would definitely tell me that this new idea is in response to my own son becoming less of a little person & my dad becoming more of a little person. 😢 And who needs therapy when you have a kids shop...

Sunday Vibes. A cat whaling outside woke me at 4am, so the 6am alarm for a boot sale felt unfair. I got up nonetheless and even dragged my husband and the two dogs around a field for a couple of hours. My husband kept asking me annoying questions about whether I needed said object whilst I was midway through negotiating the 'best' price. He won't be coming again.
We rewarded my hard work and drove over to Alresford for a spot of lunch. Finished off with Cider in my Garden. Took some pics of my living room which is clearly inspired by a bar of Caramac.

So much still to do, but it's been lovely to hear all the feedback from customers on our mini make-over. I keep digging my heels in to make sure the retail side of the business still exists as I believe in the importance of connection, community and creativity.
