Another order off to it’s forever home ❤️🥰 18 memory bears ( design c ) personalised with names, mini ties and back zips with pockets so they can hold a voice box and hear their passed loved ones voice❤️ ( beautiful idea ) it’s taken me a couple of weeks….alot of hard work and alot of love to achieve these memory keepsakes 🥰 but I can now share with you the finished result ( now the surprises have been given ) and I can report they love them ( always a relief being a crafter ) ❤️

I also want to say thank you to another talented crafter who came to my rescue when my embroidery machine was hating me 🤣 she made the beautiful embroidery quotes ❤️ so I could sew them on the back and achieve the closest dream memory keepsakes I could for these lovely people 💋 Yuppie Puppies

I will have a few days rest after hospital today and treat myself to this magnificent treat 🤣 then I have two more orders to do before I take a much needed few weeks off to celebrate my big birthday 🎂🎈 and make my own fancy dress outfit 🤣 ( stay tuned for that lol )

Lots of love always

Ok so this isn’t my doctors surgery but I saw this post yesterday and what a fab idea to support and share.

Many of you know my health journey and living with a chronic illness affects every part of your life…. It’s not just resting and sympathy….its waking everyday not knowing what part of your body will play up today 🤣…

It’s waking in pain and going to bed in pain….

It’s cancelling fun plans…or not being able to go on holiday because you can’t get health insurance or fly.

It affects relationships with everyone around you…. It affects what you can eat and when

It changes your physical appearance from wearing wigs to scars and rashes which changes how you feel not only about yourself but also the fairness in life 🙈

I love to be creative and I also love people. Expressing how I feel through the things I make not only gives me purpose when physically I can’t achieve all I want too but it also helps express how I’m feeling when the words feel too difficult ❤️

I will always be eternally grateful to the nhs for saving not only my life on more then one occasion but also my child’s and my loved ones. But until you have no choice but to rely on the nhs daily you won’t be familiar with the gaps in the system and one gap I’m passionate about is the failing mental health service ( not only adult mental health but also children’s mental health ) this is NOT the nhs fault….its under funded and there are more ways to help mental health with alternative methods which have not been rolled out 😢 so many ideas come to mind but when I see projects like this 🥰 people helping people is what it’s all about so please if you can like and share this amazing new project help them achieve the results they are looking for….and you never know who you will inspire to take part…. What new service will come from it?! You don’t have to be a doctor to save someone’s life 🤣💋

Have you ever tried to access mental health support and felt lost in the system? 🧩❤️

"A Piece of Me" is a relaxed, creative workshop inviting patients, staff, community groups, and local services to come together and share their experiences of mental health support in Gosport.

Together, we’ll explore what works, what gets in the way, and what support could look like when digital access and human connection work better together.

🎨 Do I need to be artistic?
Absolutely not! You can join in by talking, doodling, writing, listening, or quietly adding your thoughts. Your ideas will help build a shared jigsaw artwork showing the missing pieces in current support and what a more connected future could look like.

Come along, share your piece of the story, and help shape a more human approach to mental health support in our community. 🌟

WOW What beautiful weather we are having this bank holiday 🥰 hope it lasts while the kids are all off SCHOOL….i have amazing memories of cycling down the beach with my friends in the holidays with my bag full of cucumber sandwiches, a frozen drink and a £10 note for chips, a can and ice cream 🤣 listening to music feeling like we were grown ups who could possible meet Prince Charming 😂

I will still be trying to tackle orders this week but depending on how much “ mummin it” I have to do I may not get much done 🙈
know one can say I’m not trying as I even took a bear to hand sew at the lido yesterday 🥰🤪 my oldest was having an autistic melt down refusing to get In the pool because “ no!….nope there’s too many people….. there’s too many little kids I’m just going to sit here for 3 hours 😩😱 “ I faced one of my biggest fears I knew the only way I was going to get him in was if I stripped down, carried my oxygen tank like a baby 😂 and ignored the stares and went in with him ( I am so proud of myself as this is huge for me lol ) I knew he would love it if I could just get him in….i on the other hand did not and I was shivering so I made my exit and got back to the sewing lol MY HAPPY PLACE

Hope your all having a lovely time too? Making memories in the sun that will last forever with friends and family 💋 xx Claire

Hello lovely people

Hope your all doing well? It’s been a very eventful few weeks 🙈🤣 I won’t bore you with details but I currently have two projects on the go. I’m making a very special gift for one of my oldest friends of 22years 😱 nothing says your special then a home made gift 🥰 ( stay tuned to see the end result soon 💋 ) and then I am making a large order of 18 memory bears for a lovely family who sadly lost their dad/grandad ❤️ as you know I put all my love into my creations and I try my hardest to make your dream memory item come to life the customers list was…

🐻 18 of the same design (child friendly bear design )
Using a bin bag of clothing. All to be different and unique

🐻 embroider name “ dad” grandad” rather then iron on wording so there’s no chance of it fading or coming off

🐻 a word sound box to be fitted inside some how ( so Iv made a pocket on the inside of the bear from the back to the front so you can hear the words spoken from his tummy

🐻 to use zips on the back pocket rather then Velcro if possible

🐻 mini ties to be made

🐻 embroider poems to be added to the back of the bears

🐻 hand sewn facial features to give them a truly unique loving look.

Stay tuned to see the finished results and if I can make their dream memory items come to life in a few weeks 🤞🏼🎉🤪 #

Hello lovely people ###

But till then just wanted to let my little sewing fans know tomorrow it’s back to business 💋

Just want to say a big big thank you for anyone who has liked, commented and shared my recent project 💋 I was blown away by the response.

Growing a business is not easy so please do share and tag me in any post you see.

A big warm hello to anyone who has recently followed my page. I try to update it with projects and my journing being poorly and how sewing has helped me so much. I love that I am able to help others going through there own personal hell of losing the people they love and making something they can physically hold and hug ❤️and visualise all the positive memories.

Another thing that is very important to me is recycling where I can….. old doesn’t mean damaged or broken it simply needs bringing back to life in a new way. From old clothing to used zips to shopping in charity shops for fabric and supplies. so I always recycle what I can.

I always like to make my items as personal as possible with names, dates or messages free of charge. And the added optional cost of mini clothing like the person would wear and even fabric printer with photos and sewn into the design. Iv adjusted designs to hold objects or places hearts and messages inside the bears I really do work with you to achieve your dream creation.

I’m not the fastest sewer out there because of my illness but I love what I do…I take my time and put all my love into it.

Thank you to anyone who has ordered from me so far ❤️💋 not only dose it help me cope when my body is not 🤣 but it’s also helped me contribute to supporting my family as we do not get benefits. But even more personal than that…. It’s given me a confidence and pride in myself I thought I had lost due to all the physical challenges I face.

You are all amazing and I feel so thankful xx

So after lots of hard work and love…. Iv finally finished my largest memory item ❤️

I was given a suitcase of the most adorable baby clothes and a old chair that thanks to some cats had seen better days 🤣

Iv never done a project like this before but when the customer explained she was a foster career who wanted a chair that brought back such fond memories my heart was 100% up for making it 🥰 I wanted to challenge myself and it most certainly did that 🤣

The patch work is fully lined, sewn and then over locked and then lined again ( to make sure it would never fray or split when sat on ) A zip was recycled and put on so the seat can be hand washed. I love to re use as much as i possibly can from the items I am given…so ontop of the patchwork Iv also hand sewn and embroidered 10 extra patches off the clothes to give even more detail. Iv tried to position the direction so that when the lovely lady is sat in the seat no matter where she looks it will be facing her so the memories come flooding back.

I took all the padding off the chair and put fresh padding and lining on to gave it new life. I used a neutral colour upholstery fabric for the back and sides and put darts in the patchwork to give it the best fit I could achieve. For the first time ever I used a metal runner to achieve a ‘ no seam show’ on the sides of the back.

I was unable to take the chair apart due it it’s metal structure so I opted to sew one giant pattern cover… instead of having staples or nails showing. So there was a lot of pinning and sewing then pinning again to achieve all the curves and darts 🤣

Again I am not a professional upholster and I know professionals would get a tighter fit but I can guarantee this chair is truly one of a kind…it’s made with %100 of love and effort. I hope the customer loves it as much as I do 🥰

Now just the memory blankets to go with it ❤️ what do you think? Xx

A few weeks ago I gave myself the biggest memory item challenge ever!!! I was given two suitcases full of tinny baby clothes and asked to turn them into a patch work memory chair and blanket.

I’m making lots of progress with all the patch work top layer now sewn…. And de constructing the chair has begun today…. Buy taking the first layer of fabric off the the old chair to see what secrets I uncover underneath 🎉❤️

One thing is for sure NEXT make beautiful furniture it’s made so lovely.

I can’t wait to show you all the transformation but as I always do the client has full rights to see it and tell me when I can share the finished photos so you will have to sit tight for a few more weeks 😜

But hears a little sneak peek of some of the steps so far….
