Now the weather has cooled down a bit, I made a start on hand stitching bindings onto quilts or in this case a Christmas table runner.

It was the second thing I quilted on my longarm, and I’m really happy with how it’s turned out. I just love the snowflake ❄️ design.

I might have also done a spot of fabric shopping, who can resist such lovely fabrics - not me 😂 now to decide what to make with them 🤔 any suggestions?

I’ve got a few table runners and quilts to hand stitch the bindings on to which I’m looking forward to now the cooler evenings are upon us.

I’m busy preparing for Christmas events which will be on us before we know it!

August/September fingerless mittens. Just look at those gorgeous colours 😍 they will brighten any winter’s day! I managed to knit one in August and the second one this month. A little behind my schedule of a pair of socks and fingerless mittens a month but it was TOO HOT to knit much last month although I can hopefully get back on track now the cooler weather is here.

It’s been a day of learning today. Still lots to learn on the longarm. It’s a bit like Marmite, I love it when it goes well, just when you think you’ve cracked it, another challenge arises 😂
I made this quilt top a few years back for the Sew a Jelly Roll challenge day from Moda. I love the colours and pretty floral prints, a range from Lewis & Irene which is produced fairly local to me.
The bed in the guest room is stacking up with quilts ready to have the binding hand stitched on but it’s far too hot 🥵 for that at the moment!
