At Rocket we help so many people with their build projects it’s important to check-in to ensure that they are happy with the door kits we provided. It is the best way to ensure we keep providing the quality products and services our customers have come to expect.

We reached out to Nicola and Sime at in who shared some great images of the installation of a pocket door system in their home. Not only does the finished design look fantastic they are interesting as they were for a double door with the frames are installed up against solid wall.

In one photo this highlights the flexibility of the Rocket Door Frames system. You do not need a separate double door frame; it’s simply a case of attaching two single kits together and the bracket comes included.

We are often asked if a wall needs to be taken down to make room for a pocket door. Extensive building work simply isn’t necessary as you are building into the studwork alongside with only minimal space lost by creating a wider wall. It may even create additional warmth and sound proofing.

Nicola told us: “We’ve been very pleased with the doors & still work like the day they were fitted”.

It’s always great to see installation images and to hear that they are still making a difference to a family’s living space long after the installation took place.

➡️ Pocket Door Frame

Our pocket door frames are made galvanised steel, ensuring the best standard of door frame. Our frames are easy to install into your chosen studwork and have many great accessories you can add on.

The kit contents contain all the galvanised steel uprights and horizontals required to build the pocket, plus the track. It also includes the brackets to fit the frame to the stud work that double as plasterboard positioners and supports plus the adjustable pocket entrance floor guide, runners with carbon steel 'sealed for life' bearings and a spring steel door brake (soft close option available).

This kit is suitable to be used with doors with a thickness between 35-44mm and up to 60 kg in weight. This will need to be sourced separately as Rocket Door Frames do not provide the doors for this system.

➡️ Round Satin Flush Pull

For a clean minimalist look our premium flush pull handles for pocket doors look great. These flush inset handles sit seamlessly within the door's surface, are sleek and unobtrusive while ensuring smooth operation. They are FD30 compatible pocket door handles for additional fire protection.

➡️ ULTRA Flush Door Kit

Our Ultra Flush Door Kit is crafted for a hidden door with no architrave. The kit contents include the aluminium door frame, a 44mm solid core flush primed door in a choice of seven different sizes. There is a magnetic latch (Cylinder, Handle or Thumb turn), bumper seals, concealed hinges, hinge cover plates and strike plate. The system is suitable for minimum stud work of 63mm (no max) and 12.5mm standard plasterboard. Please note that handles are not included and can be purchased separately.

No sanding or priming is required for the main door panel – the ultra-smooth surface will accept wide range of paint types and works for wallpaper and even bespoke mural designs. These doors are specifically routed/serviced to suit our frame after the finish of the door has been applied,

➡️ Magnetic Push Latch

An upgrade to the ultra flush door kit is our new magnetic push latch. Choose from our finishes such as satin or matt black. We recommend using this latch on doors that open with a push. For the opposite side, a handle or similar solution may be required to pull the door open.
