We have recently had an addition to the family, Jet the Cockerdor. Now as lovely as she is, she has a penchant for our shoes and managed to eat through the upper of my Havianas. So to salvage them I used an old pair of flip flops, used the uppers and crocheted over the tops and added a cute button detail. Result.
