Exciting news I am running a beginners embroidery workshop at Thames Chase. It will be held at 11am until 2pm. Included in the price there will be a small kit including some threads, material. Also some written details on the workshop.
This is a beginners workshop where we will start to learn some basic outline stitches and some filling stitches.
We will also be looking at any future projects you may wish to complete.
The workshop will have only a small number limited to six.
Which means I have 3 places left. To book your place you will need to pay at the same time. Each place is £30.

As we are now moving towards D Day June 6th 2024. I am proud to say that my knitting group who have supported the Royal British Legion by knitting poppies. We have supported this charity for almost 10 years. I have worked hard to work sure the money has gone back into our local community.
We feel we should support the anniversary of this great day.
If you wish to support us we are selling our hand knitted poppies. As usual we ask for a donation of £2.

Needles and chat are involved with the British Legion this year[every year we knit poppies for them]. We are supporting them on November 9th 2023 at Lakeside at the afternoon tea dance. Come along and support us there will be music and cake.
1pm until 4pm

Knitting with wire workshop I ran in my needles and chat group last night. It can be a interesting but great fun to knit these great bracelets they always look wonderful with everyone using different beads and wire colour.

Had a very hot Knitting In Public day, thanks to everyone came. We had our table as promised with lots of hand knitted items and forget me not flowers. We were so pleased that many came to look at our table and bought. Another thanks to the Wharf who laid on tea/coffee and cakes [all funds to also go to dementia].
This is not our final total but so far we have raised over £100 for local dementia groups.
