Yoo hoo, we’re still here, still stocking paint in Great Ayton Discovery Centre and still ordering and ticking over.
It’s been a busy old start to the year, lots going on but we managed to spend some time recently renovating this free cupboard we picked up from marketplace.
Grant had to practically rebuild it, it’s been glued, clamped and nailed and then scrubbed with sugar soap before a first coat of frenchicpaint Al Fresco in Smudge - I knew I wanted to paint it, if it had been in better condition I’d have waxed it but that ship had sailed. Al Fresco is self priming so although I didn’t need to prime the wood, I wanted to use the smudge as an undercoat.
The final blue colour is Frenchic’s Santorini wall paint (had half a tin left over from painting a wall in our shop). I applied two coats with a Two Fussy Blokes microfibre roller and a small Frenchic brush for corners and detailing. It’s been finished with 3 coats of Frenchic Finishing Coat - it’s in our utility room, which I dare say is the hardest working room in the house so I wanted it to be very well protected.
It’s got our walking shoes and all of Reggie’s towels and leads in there and we’re really pleased with the pop of colour.
