This installation of J2 Blond Oak LVT was laid on a precise 45 degree angle to completely transform the flow of the room, creating movement and visual depth that standard straight-lay patterns simply can’t achieve. The warm blond oak tones bring a natural, contemporary feel, while the angled layout adds a bespoke, high-end finish.

To elevate the design further, a black inlay strip was introduced, sharply defining the pattern and adding a striking contrast that frames the layout with real intent. This detail isn’t just decorative it requires careful planning, accurate setting out, and meticulous cutting to ensure every line remains perfectly true across the floor.

From the initial set out to the final plank, this floor was installed with the level of accuracy, patience, and craftsmanship that defines our work.

From Worn Carpet to Precision J2 Herringbone – Full Transformation This Week

This week’s project was a complete flooring transformation — removing tired, outdated carpet and replacing it with a premium J2 iconic herringbone Sherwood 84 floor that has completely redefined the space.

After carefully lifting and preparing the subfloor, the installation began with a full herringbone layout. This pattern demands accuracy from the very first row, with every plank needing to be perfectly aligned to achieve that clean, symmetrical finish. The result is a sharp, high-end look that instantly adds character, depth, and value to the room.

Herringbone isn’t just a floor — it’s a statement. The J2 boards brought a beautiful grain and tone that catches the light differently throughout the day, giving the room a dynamic, elegant feel that carpet simply can’t offer.

Preparation, precision setting out, and attention to detail were key on this one, and the final result speaks for itself.

This one was a challenge as the property was not square. It was a funny shapes building with all the walls running different angles from each other the colour is hardwick 100 x 400 herringbone
