The Family Bathroom - the brief was to create a classic and chic space with a hint of playfulness. We loved designing this bathroom with duck egg blue tiles and exploring different patterns and shapes. With limewash walls and bamboo blinds this space will be full of warmth and movement.

💫 A look back at a residential concierge space we developed concepts for last year. 💫

We wanted the space to feel more like a private members’ lounge than a traditional reception area. Warm timber, antique brass, natural marble and deep rust tones give the scheme richness, while the curved architecture and softer upholstery keep it relaxed and welcoming.

One of our favourite details is the brass display wall, designed to hold records as a subtle reference to Manchester’s music history. We love working with details like this because they give a space more meaning and create a stronger connection to its location.

A residential space designed to feel considered, characterful and somewhere you would genuinely want to spend time.

💫 A full bedroom suite we designed for our Altrincham project. 💫

The room was large, so we wanted to create a clear separation between the sleeping area and dressing room without breaking up the sense of space.

We designed this full-height walnut joinery with an arched opening through the centre, turning the transition between the two areas into a feature in its own right. Upholstered panels soften the darker timber, while the detailing around the arch and cabinetry brings more character and depth.

The result feels warm, calm and considered, with the bedroom and dressing room reading as two distinct spaces while still feeling completely connected.

A first look at the bar design for our Altrincham project.

We wanted this space to feel warm, intimate and slightly unexpected. More private members’ club than a traditional home bar.

The front of the bar is finished in a wave burl wood detail, which gives the joinery so much movement and depth. We paired it with a heavily veined stone top, dark timber, warm brass details and a softly lit back bar to keep the whole space feeling layered.

The ceiling detail was also important. The stepped panels help bring the scale of the room down and make it feel more enclosed, while the lighting creates a softer atmosphere in the evening.

There is a lot going on here, but every material and detail has been chosen to work together rather than compete.

We love as a team, to get out of the studio and into a place filled with products, friends and inspiration. We were invited to take part in a panel talk about colour with Design Career Mentor | Ryan & Marc at Design Central UK - we had a lovely morning working in the gorgeous canopy, going over some new processes and then made our way into the show.

We caught up with KQC Flooring about our Altrincham project and found some new fabric suppliers.

It was a great day out in the most beautiful setting.

💫 The Art of Collaboration 💫

Artwork is an important part of how we bring an interior together. It introduces colour, warmth and character, while creating a focal point within the space.

For this project, we collaborated with artist Anton Byrne-Carter to create a bespoke piece for the hallway.

Rather than selecting artwork at the end of the design process, we wanted the piece to feel connected to the interior from the start. We sent Anton samples of the fabrics, finishes and materials used throughout the home, giving him the palette and textures to respond to in his own way.

The finished piece brings those elements together through colour, texture and movement. It has its own identity, while still feeling completely at home within the space.

For us, this is where art and interior design work best. Each informs the other, creating a home that feels considered, collected and full of character.
