Get Crafty on The Docks

01/10/2023

Big news!

Thanks so much to everyone for the support you’ve shown us during our time on Grimsby Docks.

We’ve loved being a teeny tiny part of the regeneration of that part of town.

Sadly it’s not worked out as we had hoped and we now have a new creative base!

Workshops will resume very soon, still taking place in an evening and at weekends and will be at our new Scartho address.

21b Waltham Road is where you will find us and we can’t wait to see you - we’re hoping to launch on Saturday 7th October and would love to see you there.

New workshop dates and times are on the way and all Crowdfunder rewards are still very valid 🥳

Going forward you’ll find us here: It Started With A Stitch thedandyintrovert

We are very sadly having to say goodbye to the docks. It’s not been an easy couple of weeks and we just wanted to keep you all in the loop!

The support that we’ve been shown by so many people has been amazing and for that we are eternally grateful. The story isn’t ending, it’s just going to be continuing somewhere else.

We have secured a new home, and the changeover should happen pretty quickly and once I have the keys in my hands then I’ll tell you exactly where it is.

It’s much more accessible, and we hope that you’ll be able to come and see us more often when we’re moved.

Workshops will start to be advertised again, and all Crowdfunder rewards will still very much able to be used for booking.

See you all soon…

Gem & Ben ❤️

Coming up, a super fun workshop hosted by our very own Ben thedandyintrovert

You’ll be able to create your own design and then watch it being cut into the vinyl. We’ll show you how to ‘weed’ your design before heading to the heat presses to transfer to a fabric banner.

There’ll be a selection of trims available for you to embellish the bottom of edges of the flag.

You can make a selection of single banners or string together to make some cute bunting.

📌 Thursday, 10th August 6:30pm

Seeing events like this happen in Grimsby is always awesome.

We were especially proud to have been able to play a part in the run up to this by hosting some Macramé workshops at our studio on the docks.

A big thank you to the team at Swans Events for putting this together 🌊🐟
