Hi everyone,

I wanted to do a post to say that Harper’s Pantry will no longer be taking custom orders for brownie stacks or brownie boxes - I may occasionally do my mixed boxes when I have time but since I have started with my driving instructing it has taken up a lot of my time and it’s something that I’m wanting to put more of my time and energy into.

I never made a lot of profit from my bakes and this is also a big reason for me stopping, most of the time I was working for much less than minimum wage - the prices of my ingredients has shot up, chocolate has pretty much doubled and I was struggling to sell my mixed boxes when I implemented a price increase.

Thank you to all of those who have supported my little business, whether it’s my regulars or just a one off. I’ve met some really lovely people through my bakes and I’m very grateful for the continued support.

Not baking related but wanting to support another local business.

I’m always up for trying something new and I had such a great time tonight at Elevate Fitness Dance Studio - they do hoop, pole and bungee fitness classes at Holmfield mills. Not sure I’ll becoming an aerial hoop artist anytime soon 😅 but it was great to try something new.

Apologies that it’s not baking related but I’m now able to offer automatic driving lessons in Halifax and some areas of Bradford. I’m working alongside my partner who is still currently teaching in a manual car.

Hi everyone, apologies that this isn’t baking related!

I’ve got my car up for sale as I’m now in the market for a smaller car to teach people to drive in. At the start of the year I began my journey to become a qualified driving instructor (don’t worry, I’ll still be doing my bakes as well 😅).

If anyone knows someone in the market for a reliable, economical and inexpensive family car then let me know.
