A little peek behind the scenes at It’s a Twin Thing! 👀

We’ve been busy playing around with paint, paper, pens and plenty of ideas, experimenting with different techniques and seeing what we can turn them into.

Some ideas work, some get changed, and some lead us in a completely different direction — but that’s all part of the fun! ✂️🎨

We’re always working behind the scenes on new activities for our workshops and events, making sure they’re enjoyable, accessible and give everyone plenty of scope to add their own personality.

Wonder what these little experiments might become…

We’re pleased to say that It’s a Twin Thing Workshops & Events has both current DBS checks and Public Liability Insurance (PLI) in place.

We deliver friendly, accessible creative workshops for a wide range of groups and organisations, including community and support groups, care homes, Women’s Institutes and local services.

We can also facilitate creative activities for young children’s groups, adapting activities to suit different ages and abilities and making them fun, engaging and age-appropriate.

If your organisation already has an established craft or activity group, or you’re looking for someone to provide a one-off or regular creative session, we’d love to hear from you.

OUR CREATIVE CRAFT WORKSHOP DIARY IS GETTING BUSIER!

We’ve added even more bookings to our diary, with workshops taking us right through 2026 and into 2027! 🎨🧵

We’ll be visiting a lovely mix of community groups and organisations.

We’ll also have a stall at Mixenden Activity Centre’s 1st Birthday Bash on Saturday 12th September! 🎉

And there’s more happening behind the scenes too…

We’re currently working on plans for more Tuesday Creative Craft Workshops at Mixenden Activity Centre, so keep watching for further MAC dates and details.

It’s lovely to see our diary filling up and to be taking our workshops out to so many different groups and organisations across the area.

Our workshop diary is filling up and we’d love to hear from more groups and organisations across West Yorkshire.

If you’re part of a community group, charity, support group, care home, Women’s Institute or other local organisation, we can bring one of our friendly creative workshops to you.

Already run a craft group?
If you have an established group with regular attendees and are looking for guest tutors to come along and teach a new craft or technique, we’d love to hear from you too.

We bring the activity, materials and tuition and can tailor workshops to suit different groups and abilities.

WE’RE LOOKING FOR FUNDING, SPACES & SUPPORT

We’re It’s a Twin Thing Workshops & Events, running friendly, accessible creative workshops that bring people together, reduce isolation, build friendships and encourage people to try something new.

We currently deliver funded workshops at Mixenden Activity Centre, have worked with Calderdale Council Play Services, and have developed opportunities with community groups, cafés, care settings and other local organisations.

We’d love to do more and are looking for:
• Funding or small grants towards materials and delivery
• Free or low-cost spaces for community workshops
• Workshop sponsorship from local businesses or organisations
• Donations of craft materials
• Partnerships with local groups and organisations

🌞Our workshops are about much more than crafting – they give people a reason to get out, meet others, learn new skills and feel part of their community.🌞
