Camping life! About 20 years ago my husband and I bought a blanket from a tribe of Black H’mong people in the highlands of Sapa, Vietnam. It’s beautiful but it was sat in a cupboard so I decided to refashion it into a poncho my husband could wear around our fire pit. I was nervous to cut into it but I’m so pleased to have turned it into something that can be part of our everyday (well summer weekends anyway!). Self drafted with nerves and a tape measure.

It’s a wearable toile! (I know, impressive right?). I wanted to try out the by that I got with before I committed my ‘good’ fabric so I made this nightdress using some gorgeous deadstock linen mix I picked up at it’s lovely and light and breezy. I left off the sleeves and added some bias binding for comfy sleeping. Pretty happy!!
