Is it much too much to have 3 2-Tone tshirts? 🤔 Got a little carried away printing my 2 Tone design on some tshirts ready for summer. 😎 ☀️
Really chuffed with them. 😁 I know black on white is traditional, but I love it on pink! 🩷

I've been putting this off because I was nervous about how well the print would come out on fabric but it's really crisp. It's not as solid black as I get on paper but I like the effect. They need to dry for a couple of weeks, then I'll iron them to set the paint and finally wash them. They can fade very slightly in the first wash so 🤞 it's not too much!
I used Cranfield Caligo Safewash Relief Inks.

Cosy Sunday afternoon painting fairly random (but all edible!) watercolours from my new book 'How to Paint It - 100 simplewatercolor paintings' by artist 🖌🎨
Great for learning about colour mixing and developing my skills. Toffee is having a go too, she's showing promise!! 😆🥰
Sometimes it's just nice to follow a tutorial, rather than be faced with a blank page to come up with a new idea!

'This land is our land' Fox pair with red kite above.
This is my 3 block, 3 colour lino print. The final block (or key block) in black ink, has brought the grey and orange ones together. It's the most challenging but rewarding linocut I've attempted to date. It took lots of initial sketches and plenty of head scratching, before I transferred my final drawing onto 3 blocks of lino!

The theme is 'Home is where the heart is'.
For me, home means a feeling of belonging and safety. When I walk in the hills, enjoying nature and wildlife, I feel most at home. It's where my heart is. I'm lucky enough to live in Nidderdale, near the Yorkshire Dales. We see beautiful red kites flying over our home every day. It's their home too. We've yet to see foxes here, but they are one of my favourite wild animals, and I know they aren't far away. Sadly, foxes and kites are hunted and persecuted still, despite it being illegal.

In the UK, a tiny percentage of rich, powerful people own a huge percentage of the land. I hope one day this imbalance can be redressed, hence the nod to the Woodie Guthrie song, 'This land is your land'.

Now I have made 5 stamps in my 'Tea and cake' collection. Lots of possibilities for birthday cards and gift tags. 🫖 ☕️ 🎂 🧁 🍰
Crafting really is my happy place. 😊 It was when I was a child, always busy making something, often out of Fimo (polymer clay). We don't really change much, in many ways, do we?

Work in progress. Another peak at my developing three-block lino print.
First, I printed the block with the foxes, then the block with the grey hills and part of the bird. Any guesses what bird?
I built a cardboard 'jig' to keep the lino blocks in place when printing. I use 'Terns Burton' clips so that the paper can be registered in exactly the same position for each layer, otherwise everything would be rather wonky! See the video clip.
Just one more layer to go to bring them to life! I've printed it already but am holding back posting whilst they dry....which will take up to a week as I'm using Caligo Safewash Relief Inks.
6 of my final prints will be donated to the brilliant to support their chosen charities and Centrepoint
