Made another floating oak shelf for the kitchen.

I’ve got another planed piece of oak the same, although the shade is much lighter if anyone would like one making?

Can discuss price and provide wall fittings and brackets for it.

My first attempt at an end-grain cutting board.

Went pretty decent, happy with the result and learned a lot of tricks and skills along the way.

Why are end-grain cutting boards better than cross-grain?

End-grain cutting boards are beneficial to the longevity of knives and the board itself.

As the knife cuts food on the board, the blade splits between the grain fibres, which don’t cause long-lasting damage to the board. Whereas with a cross-grain board, the blade would sever the fibre causing irreparable damage. Leaving big marks where a blade has been used.

I plan on making some more of these if I manage to get my hands on some more decent wood. Then I can sell them to you lucky lot 😉

After and before: Solid Oak floating shelf.

End result almost makes the effort to make it worth it. Almost.

First attempt at a floating shelf from scrap oak. Hopefully next time will be able to use what I learned.

Upcycled Side Cabinet stained Dark Oak with rustic style handles.

First upcycling project in a while and not the proudest of it. Forgot basic principles to upcycling and so it didn’t turn out how I wanted.

Would’ve tried to sell this for 60£ if it was up to standard, but instead I’ll sell it for 40£.

Collection Only

The highly desirable tiger stripes pattern, along with the spalted accents of the wood make this a really beautiful and unique piece. 👀

🌲 Warped Wood ➡️ Stylish Shelves 🌲

What do you think?

Two warped pieces of pine board given function and life as modern, stylish shelves.

Both boards were planed flat, given a 45 degree chamfer, sanded, stained and treated.

Both shelves look absolutely incredible, will have to make some more of these for sale.

What do you think of this piece?

A neglected piece of Mediterranean Olive Wood: planed, sanded and brought back to life with authentic Greek Olive Oil from the island of Rhodes.

This piece still has a live edge, which looks absolutely stunning. I hope to repurpose it into a stylish, eye-catching shelf.
