Our weekly round-up in pictures 📷 It feels like Autumn is nearly upon us, there's a chill in the evening air! The Fire Shop teams have been out getting chimneys & fireplaces ready for the colder months. Have you lit your fire yet? 🔥 Call us on 01424 319865 and get winter-ready.
1: An unusual request - repurposing tiles from an old cast insert. These have been expertly set into an oak beam, keeping the history of the fireplace for years to come🔧
2: Creosote build-up in a flue, an extremely flammable deposit caused by burning wet wood. This is why we recommend where you can be sure your wood supply is safe and ready to burn. 🪵
3: The finishing touch to this beautiful installation is a non-combustible beam from 🫶
4: Work-in-progress. A complete re-vamp is underway for this double-sided fireplace. The new riven slate hearth going in after removing the older, inefficient stove and perished flue liner. This is going to look stunning ✨
5: Making progress on this double chimney rebuild in the shadow of Hastings Castle with imperial bricks and traditional lime mortar 👷
6: In the mean-time we have been busy at our St Leonards showroom, updating our displays for the heating season to come.

1: A change from wood-burning to gas. This Eastbourne fireplace was updated by our own GAS SAFE registered engineer with a new remote control, coal-effect gas fire 🔥
2: Flue lining in Bexhill, stage one for this customer is lining the flue whilst safe access is in place 👷
3: Our fully-licenced drone pilot carrying out a chimney condition inspection on this village cottage. We offer free surveys and estimates right across the Weald🔧
4: Winter-ready in St Leonards! The stunning Contura stoves 210G wood-burner and new Brazilian slate hearth was fitted to this existing marble fireplace to bring exceptional warmth & style to this room, a perfect blend of old and new 🫶
5: Mortar degrades over time & with weathering so chimney re-pointing can mean the difference between costly leaks and a warm, dry home. Once finished, this chimney will be secure and leak-free for years to come 🏠
6: Over in Pevensey we installed this elegant Mayfield Electric Fire Suite with integrated lighting and bespoke cut hearth to modernise this space ✨️

Our weekly round-up in pictures 📷 Whilst England's World Cup performance has had us all on highs and lows this week, we have been out in sunny Sussex making sure our customers still have something to cheer about.

1: We adapted this unusual alcove for a new British Fires Hinton stove to be fitted, ready for our customer to decorate around 🔥
2: Our team carefully raking out old mortar to update this traditional fireplace with fresh lime pointing and a new hearth. Update on the finished look will follow soon 👷
3: Experienced & fully GAS SAFE registered, we can carry out boiler service and repair, just give us a call for prices and booking 🔧
4: Another gorgeous roof-top vista in St Leonards whilst fitting bird-guard cowls to these chimney pots. This view will never get old for us!
5: A make-over for this beautiful older fireplace. With a bespoke templated slate hearth and Dunsley Heat Avance 500 stove we think this update is the perfect blend of new and old 🫶
