Brain, art and camera roll living on shuffle 🔀

Basically there’s always colour, good vibes, a sprinkle of chaos but just fun in my art💖 full of stories and moods and it’s just a wild journey sometimes

We hear, ‘you need to find a niche’ quite a lot as artists, and it can be really difficult! So I’m just working through everything that brings me proper joy now. Which means what I make is so fun for me & that’s why I love it! 🥰

Remembering how my first ‘art playground’ 🛝 went 🦋

In August I decided to turn a piece of art I had made into a piece of art we all made 💖

88 people added their butterflies to the garden: children, adults, parents, friends, supporters, creatives, non-creatives, community 💘

It was my first big insight into building a real life community with art 🌸

I told everyone I wasn’t sure what I would do with the piece after the event (& I’m still working on some plans for that)

I’m still in love with this mini, there’s just something about her 💖

I’m seeing it backed onto a pink fluffy board and then box framed, so she looks all stylish, feminine and powerful.

Just feel like she’s really stuck with me at the moment you know?

Made this as a reminder to myself this morning, just needed it a bit more today you know?

Being a woman means a monthly cycle that comes back around and wipes you off your feet every now and then, so made some art now I feel better ###

What could you draw in 5 minutes? 💖

Today’s challenge was just to get some creative time in, without overthinking it.

I’ve been MIA lately but here’s what I’ve been up to 💞

I did manage to get some art sketched out ready for painting but for most of the week I just had a complete brain break from everything! And it was needed, so now I am recharged and ready to go 🦋

Time to take in the views of Wales 💖

A 10K run in a zoo, how could I say no? 🏃‍♀️ 🐯

A hot tub was perfect to help me relax 🛁

Did you know giraffes are my favourite? 🦒 this was a huge life highlight 💖

Is there anything better than a walk on the beach? 🏝️

Have you ever just sat looking at the stars? ✨

First time running on the beach was an amazing feeling! 🏃‍♀️

Why I started painting animals as an artist 💭 I’d love to know if you enjoyed the animals I used to paint 💞

I’m just sitting here thinking (while trying to tidy up my camera roll) about what brings me joy,

It’s always been animals, from wanting to be a vet, exploring all the zoos, watching the documentaries and volunteering at the dog shelter 💞

I started my art with lots of animals because it made me so happy and so many other people loved them too,

Now it’s something I’ve moved away from but I can’t help wonder if there’s some more animal work left in me 💭

What do you think, do I bring animals back in a new way? 💖
