SPACE DWARF ALERT!

Somewhere in the distant reaches of the galaxy, a cargo hold has burst open and unleashed an angry wave of heavily armed, ale-fuelled space dwarfs onto the painting desk…

Boy, are we looking forward to painting these little squats up!!!

One of the first things we nabbed at Salute 53 was these amazing Bedrök Squad Echogeld Space Dwarves from . This batch of absolutely gorgeous old-school style space dwarf miniatures were a joy to assemble, and the quality on these sculpts is ridiculous.

Chunky armour...massive beards (even the girls). Questionable health and safety around plasma weaponry. Exactly how the ancestors intended.

These beauties absolutely scream early edition sci-fi fantasy gaming energy - perfect for classic Warhammer-inspired campaigns, rogue trader shenanigans, grimy asteroid mining expeditions, or violently settling interstellar grudges over who stole whose beer. Every sculpt is literally packed with detail, and the temptation to immediately build an entire retro space dwarf army is becoming dangerously difficult to resist.

Next step: Paint, weather, add highlights, bling up helmets, an irresponsible amount of metallic drybrushing and base up to an impossibly high standard with Moonhopper Base and Technical paints. The Ancestors would approve.

Midsummer is lurching towards us like a dazed hippy with a particularly heavy rucksack, the dice are already giving everyone snake eyes, and the Moonhopper Games June Bulletin is out now.

This month’s issue is packed tighter than a hobby desk five minutes before “just a quick paint session” becomes a full archaeological incident.

Inside June’s Bulletin:

Warhammer 40,000 11th Edition: what we know, what’s changing, what looks promising, and what may cause grown adults to argue over terrain footprints like medieval landowners.

June’s biggest miniature releases.

The UK wargaming scene: clubs, events, society days and places to roll dice with people who understand that “I’m nearly finished painting this army” is a spiritual condition, not a fact.

Our usual round of exciting odds and sods.

And for our look into campaign ideas this month: RAF St Lawrence 1943...a tense, controversial German commando raid mystery turned into cracking tabletop scenario fuel.

Read the June Bulletin now and subscribe to the Moonhopper Games mailing list for monthly hobby news, releases, events, offers, the usual nonsense, as well as the occasional genuinely useful bit of advice hiding among the chaos.

So sign up, stay informed, and give your inbox something better to do than collect delivery notifications for things you absolutely definitely needed.

The Dark Gods called. They want better basing materials.

Our Obsidian Rock Pot is perfect for corrupted battlefields, daemon worlds, volcanic trenches and any Chaos army that believes “health and safety” is a weak Imperial concept.

Scatter it across your bases for brutal black rubble that screams: “THIS PLANET HAS DEFINITELY BEEN EXTERMINATUS’D.”

Perfect for:

Chaos Space Marines.
Daemon engines.
War-torn city boards.
Grimdark terrain builders.
Hobbyists who drybrush at 2am while chanting suspicious things...

Your miniatures deserve more than sand from the garden.

The right battlemat doesn’t just hold your models…

It transforms the experience: with more immersion, cinematic gameplay and memorable battles, turn every match into a story worth telling.

Somewhere, a tiny fantasy peasant is about to complain that your battlefield looks “too nice for a warzone.”

Meadow Green from Moonhopper Games is the perfect flock pot for lush grasslands, rolling hills and fantasy landscapes bursting with life. Whether you’re building peaceful village scenery or a battlefield moments before absolute chaos erupts, this rich green flock adds vibrant realism to bases and terrain alike.

Easy to apply with PVA or Mod Podge, Meadow Green delivers fast coverage with deep natural colour that makes gaming boards instantly feel alive. Ideal for fantasy armies, historical battlefields and countryside dioramas where something dramatic is definitely about to happen.

Fresh, vibrant and dangerously scenic - because even grimdark armies deserve to play on a nice lawn occasionally.

Every good salvage crew needs…better scenery.

Upgrade your Stargrave tables with scrap piles, alien terrain, and derelict vibes from moonhopper-games.com. Perfect for those “totally legitimate” loot runs.

Because nothing says “immersive gameplay” like terrain that looks worth stealing.

Nothing says “peaceful civilisation” quite like streets covered in razor-sharp debris.

Shattered Glass is ideal for ruined cities, urban warzones and apocalyptic streets where every tactical decision ends with tetanus. Use it for broken industrial flooring, shattered windows, bombed-out interiors and scenic rubble effects.

Also featured in Moonhopper’s Terrain Pot Gift Set because devastation is always better in bulk.

Some paints just sit on the shelf. Base Orange starts arguments on the tabletop.

Perfect for Martian wastelands, lava fields, rusted industrial bases, hazard markings and sun-scorched terrain, this rich acrylic gives miniatures instant warmth and drama. Use it as a foundation layer, drybrush over textured paints like Martian Dustbowl or Bubbling Lava Pit, then push the contrast further with Moonhopper glazes and shading mediums for deep weathering and heat-stained effects.

Want extra punch? Pair it with Battle Bronze, Forged Gold or Scorch Marks for battle-worn machinery and gritty sci-fi terrain that looks straight out of a cinematic warzone.

Your miniatures deserve better - Moonhopper paints should be your go-to pots for perfect results every time.

Miniatures...
Terrain builds...
WIP shots...
Paint stations...
Piles of shame disguised as “future projects”...

…down in the comments below!

Whether it’s grimdark warriors, historical regiments, tanks, goblins, spaceships, or a single beautifully painted goblin you’ve spent 14 hours highlighting: we want to see them!
