🧵 QUILTERS… WE’VE BEEN LISTENING! 🧵

We’ve had quite a few of you coming into Quay Street Yarns asking for quilting and patchwork supplies — and we’ve realised we might be able to help more than you think! ❤️

Although we don’t currently have a dedicated quilting section in the shop, our wholesale supplier has a whole host of quilting goodies we can order.

There is just one little thing to bear in mind. Some items are supplied to us in packs of 3, 5, 10 or more. If it’s something we don’t normally stock and we have to order a full pack, we may need you to purchase the quantity it comes supplied in.

But we’ll always let you know before we order it. 👍

We’re a small independent shop, and we’re always listening to what our customers are asking for and looking at ways we can help.

Good morning All. We hope you all enjoyed a good Bank holiday Monday :)

Thank you to all of you that sent in your pics for the one ball/skein challenge this weekend. I had a lot of fun! I made a mini hot water bottle and then just about had enough time to make a cosy beanie hat! 🧶😊

🧶 THE WEEKEND CHALLENGE… HOW DID YOU DO? 👀

Well, I decided to practise what I preach! 😂

Here’s my one-ball weekend challenge project — a little hot water bottle cover made with Inspiring Yarns Merino Chunky in Marmalade. 🧡

And honestly… just look at that colour! 😍

It’s 100% natural fibre, beautifully soft and has been an absolute joy to crochet.

I’m nearly there… I’ve just got those pesky ends to sew in! 🙈

But now we want to see YOUR projects!

🧶 THE QUAY STREET WEEKEND CHALLENGE

“ONE SKEIN. ONE WEEKEND. WHAT CAN YOU MAKE?”

The challenge: choose one ball/skein of yarn you already have at home and turn it into something by Monday evening.

It can be anything:

* 🧣 A scarf
* 🧶 A granny-square project
* 🧤 A hat
* 🧦 Socks
* 🧸 A little toy
* 👜 A bag
* ❤️ Or something completely unexpected!

The rules are deliberately loose:

1. Pick ONE ball/skein from your stash.
2. Start your project this weekend.
3. Get as far as you can by Monday.
4. Take a photo and tag Quay Street Yarns.
5. Tell us what you made — or what you attempted to make! 😂
