Copperhouse Wireworks - Cornwall Hand twisted copper wire Celtic tree sculptures. Hand made in Hayle, Cornwall.

What started as a hobby, as part of art therapy, has now grown into a house full of trees! I really wanted to share my enjoyment of my tree sculptures with others and felt now was the right time to do this. I have drawn inspiration from the Celtic Tree of Life and the picturesque trees of Cornwall. All my trees are hand twisted, using jewellery grade copper wire and as a result each one is a unique piece of art.

I spend a lot of time trying to find something I fancy watching, so after rush hour came on itv while I had it on in the background. I’ve decided I’m just going to watch all of the Chris Tucker films. Watched Fifth Element earlier, and tonight I’m watching this while I have a twiddle. If I hadn’t spent half an hour writing this post, I would’ve saved myself half an hour decision making! 🤣

With market season keeping me busy, I have been neglecting the website for a while so it’s looking a bit barren. I’ll be adding some small plus willows over the weekend which are already made and just added these beauties! I love how they turned out. 😃

The first one is a medium plus, antique copper coloured, windswept Celtic tree, mounted to a pebble.
The second is a medium sized, gunmetal coloured windswept tree, mounted to a piece of slate.

Details in pinned post and about section above. ☝️

Next week you can find me at the Waves Artisan Market located in the Queens Hotel ballroom. Packed full of talented local artisans from 10-4 Wednesday and Thursday.

After over 3 hours of wires snapping while trying to attach and then having to restart the whole process at least 8 times.

Behold, the only silver mini sized tree that will ever be made by my hands. 🤣

It turned out great, but the silver coloured wire isn’t suitable to use for mini trees, apparently.

It’s international dog day today so Hugo is looking dapper in his yellow bow tie and kindly (for a treat) posed for this picture. Dog accessories available from Kay's Craftworks while you’re here (Wednesday).

As soon as I saw this ammonite at the car boot sale, I just knew it had to have a willow on it. Here’s me making it weep.

I’ve gained a few followers recently from my geeky posts so thought I’d share what I actually do.
I make winter trees with Celtic roots, all hand twisted out of coloured copper wire to look like realistic trees with knotted roots to represent a Celtic tree of life. Then I drill holes in a stone and attach the trees with wires.
Here is a recent tree I made (medium plus) which is heading to New Zealand at the end of the month! (I’m not sending it there).

Hoping to replenish some stock this weekend as I’ve been lucky to have had lots of support recently, which I’m very grateful for. A big thanks to you all! 😊

This is where you will find me both Wednesday and Thursday this week with my Celtic tree sculptures, 10-4.

This is a full contact Viking LARP group based in Sticker (near St Austell). I had a chat with one of the guys and if you ever fancy giving it a go, you can go along and borrow equipment to try it out before investing in weapons and armour.
Their page is Brederedh Cornovii if you would like more information.
