Last December, there was a table full of flowers, delicious spruces and delightful Christmas goodies, a real little slice of magic at the cottage.

This December is looking very different and I am so excited to share a little more very soon.

For the Bride...

Fede's scrumptious choice of dried flowers left me in awe of this everlasting.

This design really did have the most perfect combination - from the umbellifers and lunaria peeping through to the subtle blue undertones in the hydrangeas and poppy heads to finally the little pops of ochre to help lift the rest of the tones - I just adored it!

For the maids...

A few months ago I was asked to flower for a wedding that took place in Italy over the weekend by the loveliest lady - Fede had a clear vision of the style she wanted and ideas for some of the dried florals included in the designs too - a beautiful plan was most definitely coming together.

An everlasting wreath for the bride accompanied by a comb for her hair, a buttonhole for the groom and these deliciously, textural wrist corsages for the bridesmaids.

A pallette of pure joy for me to get working on and such special keepsakes for the bridal party after.

There's something about glasshouse windowledges in which it means it's acceptable to have a spanner and an old, dirty pot combined with the most glorious dried blooms.

This room is, at a snails pace, coming together and I can't wait to share it with you all. Elodie's enthralled with the fact that every window is at head height so squirrel watching can resume from the warmth of inside.

I just love it, it's a little slice of paradise once the sun's been out for an hour or two!

As the evenings draw in, it will soon be time to start lighting the fire in the evenings - one of my all time favourite parts about home in the Autumn, the nostalgic sooty smell a reminder of all the exciting times just around the corner.

For now the fireplace is dressed with an abundance of florals before they move onto their forever homes.

Phew it's been a hot minute since I posted on here, whilst my Instagrams up to date with Copper and Moss' going ons Facebook unfortunately took a backseat...

So heres a snippet of how the last few months have been looking!

The cutting garden thrived and is now about to have its Autumnal slumber warming up Spring bulbs; I now have a fully grown pup child, who somehow turns 1 next month; I have worked on some beautiful projects, some of which I am still waiting to share so keep your eyes peeled for those; there's everlastings around the globe now which seems all a bit bonkers from my little studio here in Sussex - absolutely loving every second of this journey!

I hope you're all well and I will try to keep here just as updated from here on! H x

Whilst it's been a little too Autumnal and blustery outside, I've been working on a whole world of newness in the studio.

I've been curating a couple of new collections and collating ideas on what makes Copper and Moss, Copper and Moss which I'm really looking forward to sharing with you all.

Here's a little peak at my lovely new plantable thank you cards and beautiful hessian that will both be making an appearance very soon...!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

After all the love on my recent post about our wonderful Dodo, I told him about it and he was absolutely blown away that something he's made has been seen on different continents!

This was such a small project to him, he helped build a few of our local hospitals during his career and then ran a nursery selling plants from home for a while too. Despite shielding for over a year now, Dodo and my Nanny have somehow acquired, and what now resembles, a small garden centres worth of plants for their garden this year.

So here it is in use, the first of his projects, an absolutely ginormous flower press and when I say ginormous, it's currently got a3 sheets in it and I have about 30cm deep of pressing room! He made it one afternoon back in November whilst I was at home a little poorly. I got a phone call to go and look in the porch and he had left it there with some homemade sausage rolls courtesy of our wonderful Nanny - they quite literally are my inspiration and my absolute heroes!

6. M O N T H S. O L D.

A dog will always be more than 'just a dog' they truly are blessings.

I wasn't actually able to choose Elodie as she was the last puppy without a family, when I finally met her, I understood the timing of it all.

She had a very slight white crest on her chest which has now turned into just a few hairs, but is quite unusual for a retriever - the first dog that my Dad had got when I was little, Daisy, had a white crest on her chest so it somewhat feels as though they joined up and left their mark when they chose her for me.

She's been the brightest light and the most bonkers company on days when I've needed someone most over the last four months and I'm so looking forward to a lifetime of adventures with her!

I was utterly swooning over this beautiful, bespoke, Birthday order earlier in the week.

I've always been told to be my most authentic self so when I'm given a brief to work with, I just put together what naturally feels right and this one ticked all the boxes... Luckily it left the studio before I fell even more in love with it and want to keep it for myself!

Happy Friday!

T H E. C U T T I N G. P A T C H.

This is actually the second of my wonderful Grandad, Dodo's, projects, the first one I will show you next week, but for now this takes centre stage.

For the last 2 years Dodo has kept on at me how I should move my old greenhouse, it currently resides behind the house and has been much forgotten about in recent years and turn this part of the garden into a cutting patch.

This year he was thrilled I had FINALLY decided to start growing enough and propagating seeds for a cutting patch, a cutting patch that did not actually even exist, until one day last week when I came home to three raised planters he had made that day... He is 90. He is blooming incredible and absolutely bloody marvellous if you ask me!

Three little squirrels sat on my window,
And they told me, at this point I should probably worry...

Unfortunately it wasn't a morning fuelled by Corinne Bailey Ray's classic yesterday...

Since the beginning of last years lockdown I've had a squirrel determined to get into my house, it has successfully completed this mission twice already, but yesterday morning it was taken to a bizarre whole other level, it brought friends.

With the wild, woodland trio safely secured outside, I got to work with this whimsical trio inside.
