Early autumn and the hanging baskets from Hebden Royd Town Council still going strong and making the town look lovely. I never understood why more shops don’t have them, they are fully installed and maintained all season for less than a round of drinks per basket. Let’s we more next year!

Wg Cdr Stringer, Officer Commanding 70 Sqn (LXX) wanted to leave something memorable on completion of his tour, so reached out to me - as we joined together in the 90’s.

This bespoke squadron rug will hang in pride of place in the entrance to 70 Sqn’s building at RAF Brize Norton - having played such a critical role in the evacuation of Kabul during Op PITTING, to have a handmade Afghan rug is a very fitting tribute indeed.
