I'm Hannah Nunn a nature inspired artist based in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire who makes lighting, wallpaper, window films and paper treasures! About 20 years ago I was holding some paper cuts up to the light to enjoy the silhouettes they made and I had an 'aha' moment. 'Why don't I make lights?' I saw a whole range of glowing lighting flash before me! I'm very excited to say that all these years later these lamps are creating cosy corners in homes all over the world and that they have been the making of my career as an artist. How is it the last day of GNCCF already? I'm not ready to pack everything away and go home yet. I only just got here. And the craft fair family is so lovely I don't want to leave them yet.

Ok we do have six more hours yet. Still time to do the jobs (present buying) and have the chats to hopefully sell lots stems and treasures and maybe even a very special tiny treasures piece in a frame :)

I'm just taking a break in a swimming pool changing cubicle to bring you news from Great Northern Contemporary Craft & Art Fair as I haven't had a moment to do that yet!

The show is in full swing. It's busy and bustling and we're having a lovely time 🌞. .brouwers is here with me.

I am very honoured to have won a showcase award from Ruthin Craft Centre in North Wales so you'll be seeing some of my work there at some point next year. 💛

Right gotta get back to it.

The final bit of prep for Great Northern Contemporary Craft & Art Fair was to pick up my brand new framed treasure pieces that I made especially for the show and they turned out so nicely.

There's a 'woodland treasures' piece and a 'seashore treasures' one too.

I've been making work for 30 odd years but apart from a few paper cut pieces I made right at the beginning (does anyone remember the paper cut Hebden Bridge houses I used to make?) I have never put anything in a frame! It feels very proper.

These pieces are unique which is unusual for me too. Everything I usually make is repeatable, be it by print, roller or laser but these are one of a kinds.

Can I call myself an artist now? 😉

Here's my new hanging fern. It's much taller than the little one in my last post. 40cm from top to bottom. It has a little hole so it can be strung up to hang and spin and turn like this but it also looks lovely in a vase with my other large stems. Photos to come when I've got some.

These are coming with me to Great Northern Contemporary Craft & Art Fair this Thursday! It's nearly time!

We can't believe it's been four years since we moved to our 'new' house! We moved in just as the first tinges of autumn were showing in the trees and since then me and Dean and Willow have done a lot of looking out of the window and watching the birds and the trees and the weather.

The last slide is today, taken while I was eating my breakfast and taking yet another photo of Willow looking beautiful in the window and thinking that in only a few weeks time we will be back to full autumn colour again.

How quickly the seasons turn!
