Join Drym Valley Day Centre at The Bull Pen - Gift & Workshop for their first exhibition!

Drym Valley Day Centre provides day care and opportunities for adults with learning disabilities across West Cornwall. The exhibition will showcase a wonderful collection of artwork created by attendees at the centre, alongside a selection of handmade ceramics available to purchase.

Come along, support a fantastic local organisation, and celebrate the creativity and talent of the artists involved.

A bit of a different post from me today!

Last week, I overheard someone talking about how our wooden toys are imported rather than made in the UK. We ended up having a really lovely conversation and were completely on the same page about supporting local businesses, sustainability, and conscious shopping.

What they didn’t notice, though, was the huge range of handmade, UK-made, and Cornish-made children’s items we stock alongside our toys.

We are incredibly proud to support over 40 local artists and makers, as well as a fantastic selection of UK-made children’s products, including:

• PlayPress – sustainable pop-out play sets made in the UK
• Cotton Twist – UK-made, women-owned craft and “make your own” kits (we stock 10 different sets, plus more of their lovely products!)
• Neon Magpie tattoos and colouring books
• Penacre Willow’s beautiful fairy wands, handmade in Coverack from locally grown willow
• Books from Cornish authors Chough Rock and Hannah Gold
• Jane’s Makes creations, including A5 notebooks, pencil cases, coil purses, and bags that are perfect for children
• Happy Sunshine Eye Pillows’ “Kiddiwinks” unscented eye pillows
• Sowenna Crochet’s children’s scrunchies

We are so proud to offer such a diverse range of UK-made and Cornish-made items, and to support the talented people behind them.

And on that note... if anyone knows of any UK-made wooden children’s toys, please let me know! ❤️

With summer fast approaching, we are taking applications for artists to be stocked in our eco conscious gift shop based at the busy farm restaurant, Roskillys 🌿

We currently stock a range of children’s and adults items - including jewellery, ceramics, cards, prints, wood and stone work, plants, candles, soaps and more. Supporting local artists is at the top of our priority list when it comes to stocking the shop!

If you are creative, whatever that may be, and are looking to broaden your reach we’d love to hear from you 🌟

Looking for something a little different for your next birthday, hen do, family gathering or special celebration?

Do you love getting hands-on, creative, and making memories while trying something new? At The Bullpen, we can help you create the perfect arty party experience for both children AND adults!

Nestled in the idyllic courtyard at Roskilly’s, our beautiful 30sqm workshop space seats up to 12 guests and can be tailored to your perfect celebration.

Led by the wonderful you can choose from a range of themed creative workshops including: - Mini Beasts - Flowers & Meadows - Seascapes - Sip & Paint - Flower Crown Workshops
- Winter Wreath Making … and so much more!

We are also excited to offer Silver Ring Making Workshops for groups of up to 6 people, perfect for 16+ parties, birthdays and hen dos 💍  These sessions are led by Mia and give you the chance to create your own handmade silver ring to take home — a truly special experience to share with friends.

Most workshops last around 2-3hours, but everything can be tailored to suit your group.

We also offer food packages in collaboration with 😋 Pre-order delicious food for your party, delivered straight to your workshop space so you can relax and enjoy the experience.

Whether you’re planning a wholesome hen party, a creative birthday celebration, or a relaxed get-together with friends and family, we’d love to help bring your ideas to life ✨

FLOWER FEST 🌸🌿🌞

Wow — what a day! From the moment the doors opened until the very end, the room was bursting with creativity, with people getting fully stuck into all the workshops.

We had the fabulous .made.studio hosting lino-cutting and tote bag block-printing workshops, while led painting sessions and flower crown making using gorgeous blooms gathered from the Cornish hedgerows 🌸

, based in Marguerite, brought along an incredible selection of divine succulents and flowers to sell🌿

We also had beautiful prints, bags, fresh bouquets, hats, and upcycled clothing available in the pop-up shop from Luci and Hayley 🌺

Such a gorgeous day enjoyed by all - full of flowers, creativity, sunshine, and lovely people 🌞

Thank you Luci and Hayley for planning, organising and putting on such a wonderful day ❤️

'Spend a day with us celebrating the flowers in bloom across Cornwall that inspire us to create.

Set in the beautiful surroundings inside there will be a mix of drop in and bookable workshops throughout the day, plus will be parked up in her gorgeous van, selling succulents and plants of all varieties.
