Here, at Designs By Origin, we focus our edit on beautiful home & lifestyle finds that celebrate & honour cultural heritage styles from across the globe. Original, authentic, re-visited, design-led & vintage too…We’re more than a little obsessed with age-old print, pattern, craft and cultural aesthetics. The more diverse and niche the better!
Founder, Annabel Smith was an interiors journo, stylist & shopping editor in a previous life and can’t not (!) put rooms together (it’s an obsession) hence the decision to offer interior styling and design services in tandem.
This scheme is a taster of her eclectic and unique approach. An approach first & foremost aligned with function, real life and the client’s brief - but subsequently layered with quirky colour palettes, textural contrast and a pleasing mix of furniture styles & silhouettes. Again, vintage finds are written large. In fact these ides for an open-plan kitchen-living space were anchored and inspired by THAT fab-u-lous, colourful Persian vintage rug. I mean…what a colour combo 🙌
