A drying house for your slimy little kitchen sponge 🙌 Keeps it off the sink, lets it drain and, most importantly, stops it festering in a sad little puddle.

I’ve made more, including some VERY good new glaze combinations. Dropping 4th November🎄

Follow so you don’t miss them.

She bought my printable toast rack pottery project with absolutely NO intention of making it herself.

She sent it straight to her potter sister to make for her for Christmas 😂

Frankie knows how to work the system.

Know a potter? Send them this. No explanation necessary 🍞

The printable toast rack project is available on my website.

Turns out making your own glaze is less ‘choose a colour’ and more mix a load of powders together and see what the kiln has to say about it.😂

This was supposed to be white and as you can see it very much isn’t.

But, I love it.

Follow along while I attempt blue next. What could possibly go wrong?

Pinholed glaze is NOT welcome here.

I could have written her off, but obviously that’s not how I roll 💪 Turns out stubbornness is occasionally a useful personality trait.

A bit of reglazing, another trip through the kiln and LOOK AT HER NOW 🪩

Would you have binned her or tried to save her?

Every time you stop, watch, like, save or share something, you’re effectively voting for more of it.

So if you’d rather your feed contained more people making things, more creativity, more handmade stuff and slightly less mass-produced beige nonsense… interact with the things you actually want to see more of.

That’s partly why I keep making these process videos. They take bloody ages, but I’d quite like the internet to remain a place where you can watch someone turn a lump of clay into something interesting.

Curate accordingly 👀

A serving platter should earn its place on the table. This one happens to have eight arms, so I’ve put them to work. 🐙

Handmade ceramic octopus platter — because a plain serving dish was never going to cut it.

Your first pottery project doesn’t have to look like a first pottery project🙈

The Toast Project is officially live 🍞 A printable pottery template + step-by-step guide to hand building your own ceramic toaster and six toast plates.

I’ve done the measuring, testing and annoying maths for you. You get to do the good bit.

Beginner enough for your first hand-building project. Interesting enough if it absolutely isn’t.

The excitement never wears off 🔥

Come and open the kiln with me and get a first look at the latest pieces fresh from the firing — including a few that might be making their way into the next shop drop 👀

There’s another kiln opening coming later this week, so follow along if you’re as nosey as I am and want to see what comes out next.

Grab a cuppa and enjoy ♥️

There are SO many things I felt I was doing “wrong” in pottery - naughty shortcuts let’s call them.

I was doing things because they work for me rather than because they’re the ‘proper’ way.

Turns out I’m much happier making pottery since I stopped caring about rules😂

Potters, what are your naughty shortcuts?👇
