Every year I write a post about wet feet and mud.
However, every year I still get presented with feet that are muddy !

Presenting feet that are muddy will result in a charge.

I’m fed up of having to clean everything at the end of the day, chaps, knives, rasps, jumpers and my own towel I bring. It all costs. Plus my poor hands hate the mud.

Remember your appointment times are for when the horse is due to be shod… not the time to go get them from the field.

If you help by cleaning, picking feet out properly and drying feet… I actually achieve a better job on your horse.

All I ask is for you to TOWEL them off, please do not hose (wet) them. The mud/ wet feet blunt my rasps, rasps cost me roughly £30 and I use at least 1 a week, however they do not last as long when rusty or blocked and blunted by mud and wet.

I cannot think of any customers I have off the top of my head that do not have access to a towel and a stable where they can be left to dry if needed.

✨️Also, as of the 1st of November, due to cost rising, there will be a slight increase in shoeing prices.
