Signed to the back, this striking Art Deco piece combines geometric carving, bold architectural forms and richly polished oak. Its intricate door panels bring together rounded mouldings and sharp diamond motifs, while the sculptural detailing and high-quality iron metalwork add further character.

Dudouyt was celebrated for his ability to bring together antique influences with Art Deco, Modernist and Brutalist design, creating pieces that feel entirely individual. This remarkable sideboard is a wonderful example of his distinctive approach and comes with an original promotional image showing the identical design.

A fine and rare George III mahogany table w**e cooler, dating to circa 1790.

Of coopered construction, this exceptional piece is bound with brass bands and distinguished by its rare Grecian scroll handles, reflecting the Neoclassical taste of the period. Beneath the removable top, copper-lined bottle compartments sit alongside a lead-lined ice compartment, designed to keep w**e perfectly chilled.

Wooden table coolers of this quality are exceptionally scarce, particularly those retaining such unusual decorative details. The design bears the hallmarks of the finest cabinetmaking of the period, with a tentative attribution to the renowned Gillows workshops.

A remarkable example of Georgian ingenuity, combining practical purpose with considered design.

This exceptional piece combines richly coloured walnut veneers with intricate marquetry and parquetry, ebony detailing, and striking ivory and pewter inlay. The geometrically banded top features a particularly beautiful cartouche bearing the original owner’s cypher, flanked by allegorical figures inspired by 17th-century French design.

With its elegant oxbow front, finely worked pilasters and carved scroll feet, this is a superb example of the quality and imagination reserved for furniture commissioned by the wealthiest patrons of the period.

A rare and characterful piece with an extraordinary depth of colour and detail.

This rare amboyna pier table, dating to circa 1815, combines beautifully figured veneers with intricate brass inlay and finely cast gilt-bronze mounts. From its anthemion gallery to its elegant scroll supports and claw feet, every detail speaks to the quality of its design.

Formerly part of the collection of distinguished architect Sir William Whitfield, this exceptional piece is notable for its rich colour and patination. Amboyna was so highly prized in the early 19th century that its veneer was reputed to be worth more than gold by weight.

This fine late 19th/early 20th-century envelope card table, made by Lampre of Paris circa 1900, combines finely figured plum-pudding mahogany with exceptionally delicate ormolu mounts.

The ingenious envelope-form top twists open to create a generous playing surface, while the gilt-bronze decoration, from the edging and corner rosettes to the finely cast drawer handle, adds just the right amount of ornament.

Inscribed Lampre of Paris, the celebrated firm exhibited at the Paris Expositions Universelles of 1878 and 1889, receiving bronze medals on both occasions.
