Manic Ceramics is a paint your own pottery based on the outskirts of Hertford. We are a small shop with a big mind for creativity and fun. We have been running now for over nine years, we know just how to provide enjoyable activities for all ages. Run by a friendly and welcoming team, Manic Ceramics is the perfect setting for whatever occasion; whether the kids are on summer holidays, you want to

commemorate those teeny tiny footprints of your newborn, if you want a sentimental gift, a fun night out or a relaxing morning of creativity, we can provide you with the paint and pottery and see where your imagination takes you. To the manic ceramics community, it’s been a tough few weeks, my darling husband Andy received an out of the blue diagnosis and passed away 17 days later, the team at Manics have been incredible at keeping us open during such a busy summer period and I wanted to apologise if we haven’t covered all our hours, some people may have turned up to collect pottery painted but we were closed ….. next week we are open Tuesday 10-3, Wednesday 10-3, closed Thursday then open Friday 3-10pm. After that Manics will have new opening hours which I will post as I learn to navigate a new life for me and my 2 dogs. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Our Grown Up Painting Nights are the perfect place to be!

Details & availability for upcoming dates are as follows:

⏰ Booking is from 7:30pm-10pm
🥪 You can bring your own snacks + drinks + alcohol
💸 There is a £4 studio fee PLUS the usual price of the pottery - No extra cost for it being an evening

Morning world, Manics opening hours will be slightly less next week whilst we deal with our “stuff”. Please be kind to us, I promise all the wonderful pottery being created will still be here for collection once we are able to get back to our normal opening hours. Next week we are open Tuesday 10-4, Wednesday 10-330, Thursday and Friday 10-2. We have a drop off workshop every morning 1030-1230…..

Hope your summer holidays are going well, we have had lots of creativity going on in our little blue shop. Manics has just had some horrible news so opening hours may differ slightly, so far all workshops are going ahead but we may need to close early some days, I think we have been pretty consistent for 22 years so I’m hoping you’ll be kind and understanding to the little blue shop ….. thank you

From crafts to ceramic painting, there’s plenty to keep little hands busy while you take some well-earned time for yourself🫶
