I thought it’s time to tell you a little more about the brand name Lua Rae.

The OG’s here know that it started with handmade candles a few years ago (under the name: ‘By Wiesje’.
I had the best time making candles but the pandemic had different plans and I was not able to get my hands on any materials any longer, carrying on was too difficult.

Work and life kind of took over after that, somewhere along the way I did decide to change the brand name actually, as I did not want to include my own name any longer and the reason why it’s called Lua Rae is because these are the middle names of my 2 nieces.

I decided to start creating bags (and other cute things coming soon…) because for anyone that knows me, knows that I am obsessed with vintage / second hand shopping, I love creating and rather than throwing in more fast fashion, I love to create for example cute bags from beautiful second hand / vintage fabrics. Give it another life, basically.

I have so many more ideas in my mind and already have a gorgeous sample from another bag here at home, wait until you see it, (its not finished yet)

The outside is from a linen fabric and the bag is double lined, which gives it a lovely sturdy feel.
