Whether you’re new to outdoor cooking or have been grilling for years, there are a few common BBQ habits that can make a real difference to your results.

From temperature control to fuel choice and keeping your grill clean, small tweaks can help you cook more consistently and get the best out of your setup.

🔥 First up, get your heat under control early. The charcoal you use makes a much bigger difference than most people realise. We rate Big Block for low and slow cooks, and Weber Briquettes for steady, consistent heat across longer cooks.

🔥 Next, take the guesswork out of knowing when your food is cooked. A decent meat thermometer can completely change the way you BBQ. The Meater PRO XL and Thermapen are both brilliant options for cooking meat properly, safely, and consistently.
