We specialise in floor sanding, restoration and refinishing. At Osborne Woodcare, we believe sanding and refinishing is an art. We’re a small local business specialising in wood floor sanding and restoration, working around Herts, Beds, and North London.
We’re looking for a reliable, practical person to join our team — whether you’re an experienced floor sander or someone new who’s keen to learn a skilled trade.

Pay & Details

💷 £12–£25 per hour (depending on experience)
🕒 Full-time, Monday to Friday
📍 Work is mostly local — usually within 30–40 mins of Hitchin / Stevenage / Letchworth
🚗 Driving licence helpful but not essential
💡 Training provided for beginners

Osborne Woodcare is currently recruiting. We are a wood floor sanding and refinishing company operating in Hertfordshire and occasionally the surrounding areas.

This is a rare opportunity to learn a craft that is well paid, extremely rewarding and takes you to some interesting places! Once you have this skill you can take it anywhere in the world and you will be in demand.

We love what we do and we hope you will too. The job satisfaction is superb as you take something from a terrible state to looking beautiful in 1-5 days.

Applicants must drive and have a car or moped/motorbike. You must also have experience working with your hands, have good attention to detail and a willingness to learn new things. You must also be registered self-employed and registered with the CIS scheme.

The starting rate is £80 per day. The better you become the more you will earn with an upper limit of £120-£140 per day.

This is not necessarily for younger folk, we are looking at the ages of between 21 and 40.

Hit like if you love this wood! 🙌🏽❤️ I have a problem with only posting special floors, I need to put up more of the stuff we do every day. But in the mean time look at this beaut. I think it’s smoked oak but it didn’t behave like smoked oak during the sanding. They had a sample which said oak but, I honestly think it could be something else. Wouldn’t mind sanding this every day 😍
