A rather unusual antiques-centre find today!

Pitcairn Island hand-carved miro wood spill vases, made in the distinctive form of a hand holding a vase. Pitcairn became home to the HMS Bounty mutineers and their Tahitian companions in 1790, and woodcarving later became an important island tradition.
