Turning memories into hugs for 16 years. The pearl shack is the place where keepsakes are made. Many years ago I made my first memory bear.

I have lived on Anglesey, Ynys Mon my whole adult life, and I feel so blessed to call such a beautiful place my home. Sewing began with my Mother; watching her sewing when I was a mere tot. After completing textiles at GCSE and some further specialist pattern drafting, bridal and dressmaking courses I concentrated my academic study at nursing, and continued dressmaking along side. Made for my daug

hter, who is now 16 from this point everything snowballed. I have lost count of the number I have made now. I was lucky enough to be able to support my children, as a single parent through my college studies using my sewing. I now have 4 children and my page has grown significantly. I still love making memories last a life time by creating bears and blankets from such precious items. The process of ordering a bear is very simple. Pop me a message to see just how simple it is.

Memory quilts and blankets are one of my favourites to make. I love the end results. This was made from a selection of baby blankets. Instead of being hidden away, they've had new life into them and will now be a cherished heirloom.

This is a returning customer. I have made bears for the three children named on the blanket. The red was chosen as they are big LFC fans and really finishes this quilt so well.

Its super snuggly as its quilted inside with thick wadding, and the plush fabric backing is gorgeous.

Mae cwiltiau a blancedi cof yn un o fy hoff bethau i’w gwneud. Dw i’n caru’r canlyniad pob tro. Cafodd hwn ei greu o gasgliad o flancedi babi. Yn lle bod wedi’u cuddio i ffwrdd, maen nhw wedi cael bywyd newydd ac erbyn hyn bydd y cwilt yma’n drysor teuluol am flynyddoedd i ddod.

A very special bear. Made using a single pullover sweater that was well worn and loved by the owner. Now a bear to remember a much missed dad.

This bear is very special as it also has a custom made pouch sewn inside containing his dads ashes. After discussions we decided the ashes were best sewn in rather than inside a removable pocket. A beautiful tribute, and I know how cherished this bear will be. Thank you for the trust Vanessa x

You would absolutely think that considering I'm a qualified nurse I'd have made myself a graduation animal with my own scrubs but alas, they are still waiting. (Only nearly a decade 😂) I adore making graduation bears...especially the scrubs! I KNOW how hard it is. When I was in university I had children and several jobs to get me through. Was a hard slog! Everytime I stitch a graduation bear it floods back how much of an accomplishment it is.

I wanted to pop a few of my graduation animals up. Dragons are sooooo popular. The jsmu one was super fun to make and was covered in rhinestones to replicate their cheer kits.

We don't just make bears here. This special outfit was made for an expected new arrival. I was given a favourite t-shirt worn by the baby's Taidy who passed before having the chance to hold them. I was asked to transform the t shirt into a new baby vest. I thought this was such a thoughtful and beautiful gift to give to someone navigating the emotions that grief brings when new life comes into the world, and a loving way to pay tribute to their father.

My client chose the wording to be embroidered and I incorporated all the little details that made it so recognisable. I just love how this turned out.

Another trio of gorgeous bears 🥰. These bears each have a zipped pocket in the back to keep a special lock of hair inside.

Created with shirts and a sweater these beautiful bears were made here on anglesey, handcrafted from start to finish, from design, cutting prep and hours and finishing off with hand stitched features.

This lady found me from previous customers which always means the world that people love their bears enough to recommend me. Thank you ❤️

A set of 3 lovely bears. When this lovely lady brought her clothes in she requested a clover to honour her loved one's Irish roots. These bears were gifted to family in memory of their beloved dad.

One of my favourite things is watching the bears develop their own little characters as I make them. Each one with their own little expression. I really love how they turned out.

Hi! Just wanted to pop on here to show you this beautiful little bear.

Handcrafted here on the lovely isle of Anglesey from a very special Grampa's clothing. Wearing his shirt and cardigan and complete with the emblem of the RAF. When my lovely friend dropped these items to me she told me stories about what a lovely man he was and how special he was. I feel so honoured every time I help turn clothes into special keepsakes that can be cherished forever.

This adorable trio has gone home.

Made from lovely pyjamas that hold many memories. Alice asked my to create these bears for her two children and aunt. Lots of lovely patterns and textures here making these bears so pretty, but a memory trigger for family and friends of their loved one.

These bears have taken days to create their faces and ensure they look perfect. They are adorable, and I kept some features the same so they are clearly from the same set. Made here on anglesey for a local lady

The most perfect way to mark and remember childhood school days ♥️ love how this one turned out.

These bears were made with clothes that had been kept for a very long time. The last precious items from a loving dad. Including a pair of trainers. I think it might have been the first bear that I have had a pair of trainers to incorporate. I love how these two bears turned out. From the bow ties made from collars and their friendly faces.

Now whilst we can't ever go back in time, I like to think these precious bears help, even if just momentarily, remember the warmth, love and happy memories we felt when we were around them.
