Things are changing a little around here… 🌿

Some of you have been following me since the flower days — through weddings, workshops, early morning market stalls, installations and more buckets of foliage than I could possibly count.

Life has changed quite a bit since then, and slowly, this little corner of the internet is changing with me.

Over the coming weeks I’ll be bringing my social pages together under a new name — Wild Gorse.

It isn’t really a new business or a grand relaunch. It’s more a place for all the things I still love creating and collecting, without feeling that everything has to become work.

There will still be flowers, of course. But also our ongoing attempts to bring a little soul to our 1980s cottage, vintage pieces I find along the way, seasonal decorating, interiors, gardens, things gathered from the coast, two small dogs who inevitably get involved in everything, and probably quite a few tangents.

I’ve also started writing again.

This morning I’m publishing the first proper letter from Wild Gorse on Substack — a little introduction to where I’ve been, why things changed and what I hope this next creative chapter might become.

There’s no big content schedule. No promise to post every Tuesday at 9am. And definitely no ambition to turn myself into a full-time content creator.

Just a slower sort of online sketchbook — sharing things I make, find, restore, grow, arrange and occasionally sell.

And perhaps, along the way, I’ll dust off some of my old floristry teaching too. I have years of workshop photographs tucked away, so there may even be a few seasonal digital workshops appearing here eventually.

For those of you who have been here since the flower days, thank you for sticking around while things evolve.

And if homes, flowers, vintage finds, dogs, the sea and making life a little more beautiful sound like your sort of thing, I hope you’ll enjoy Wild Gorse too.

My first letter arrives tomorrow morning.

Modern British vintage? Yes please

One of my favourite things about sourcing vintage is finding pieces that still feel timeless decades later.

This beautiful British vintage still life captures the quiet charm of everyday objects – fruit, soft colours and simple composition. It has that understated warmth that works just as well in a modern home as it would have when it was first painted.

I love mixing vintage artwork with contemporary interiors. It brings personality, history and character that mass-produced prints just can’t replicate.

Every piece I source is chosen because I’d happily display it in my own home.

Available now via The Sussex Thrift.

What’s your favourite way to style vintage artwork?

I almost walked past this…

Tucked away amongst a pile of frames at this week’s car boot sale was this beautiful vintage floral oil painting.

No signature.
No label.
Just gorgeous brushstrokes, rich colours and a frame that instantly caught my eye.

The best part?

It cost just 50p.

Now it’s cleaned, photographed and ready for a new home.

One of my favourite things about thrifting isn’t finding valuable pieces—it’s rescuing beautiful items that still have so much life left in them.

I’m curious… would you have picked this up too?

🌿 Available in my Vinted shop.
