It’s been a very busy few weeks here at HolmestoHomes Painting & Decorating! 🎨

Here is a living room I have recently completed. Wallpaper feature wall and a freshen up on the walls, woodwork and ceiling creating a beautiful space to relax and unwind 😍

I love my job and transforming spaces 🤩

🚨⚠️ APPRENTICE ANNOUNCEMENT ⚠️🚨

After months of hearing “that puppet is basically you, she looks just like you” I decided to stop fighting it and make it official.

So please welcome the newest member of the HolmesToHomes team, Eleanor 🎨 🚂

She’s got loads of confidence, just absolutely no decorating ability yet.
So far she’s spent the day sat on top of the van instead of unloading it, spent more time posing for photos than learning the trade, ignored every instruction I’ve given her and demanded regular tea breaks! ☕️

Keep an eye out for us, I’ll be the one doing the decorating and she’ll be supervising from the roof! 🎨🚐😂

We swapped the plain white for beautiful greys, completely transforming the feel of the home. The difference isn’t just the colour, it’s how much warmer, more stylish, and more finished the whole space feels 😍

Firstly, a massive congratulations to Lauren Tomes! 🥳 you are the lucky winner of our room makeover competition, and I can’t wait to transform your space! 🎨

To everyone who entered, shared the competition, and showed your support, thank you! Your kindness has been incredible. Together we’ve raised an amazing £370, and every single penny will be donated to Alzheimer’s Society.

This fundraiser was created in memory of someone very special to me, so seeing so many people get behind it has meant more than I can put into words. Every ticket purchased has helped support families facing the heartbreak of Alzheimer’s, and for that, I’ll be forever grateful.

After just losing someone very special to Alzheimer’s, I wanted to do something in their memory and raise money for others going through the same heartbreak.
Anyone who has experienced Alzheimer’s knows it’s not only the person diagnosed who lives with it, it touches everyone who loves them. It took away so much more than memories. It changed our conversations, our time together, and eventually took someone I loved deeply.

Watching someone you care about slowly fade is something that stays with you. Losing them has made me want to do something positive in their memory and give something back to families facing the same journey.

As a painter and decorator, the best thing I can offer is my time and my trade. I’ve been thinking about what I can do that feels personal, so I’ve decided to raffle one standard sized room professionally painted and decorated by me to raise money for Alzheimer’s Society.
