Harpers Interiors was founded in in 2008. 18 years later, we’ve grown into an award-winning interior design studio, creating timeless and luxurious spaces across Yorkshire and the beyond.

Michael, the creative director has over 20 years of interior design experience. He founded Harpers with a passion for creating beautiful, timeless interiors. He leads the creative direction of all Harpers projects, ensuring every design strikes the perfect balance between style and functionality.

Dan keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes. He oversees the day-to-day business and manages all our projects. With a background in large-scale project management, he works closely with our designers, suppliers and trades to ensure every project is delivered to the highest standard.

Supported by the Harpers team, Michael and Dan have built Harpers on creativity, attention to detail and a personal approach that keeps our clients coming back.

Colour has the power to completely transform the atmosphere of a room.

Soft greens bring a sense of calm and connection to nature. Blues feel restful and refined, while rich rust tones add warmth, energy and character. Monochrome schemes create striking contrast and sophistication, and layered neutrals offer a beautifully serene backdrop.

Lighting is a key element in creating the perfect room. The right light, in the right place, can transform the ambience of a space. The material is extremely important, a sleek metal, a tactile stoneware, or a matt or glazed ceramic, all these elements are important when considering lighting for a scheme.

Choose a pendant light when you want to anchor a space, define a dining or seating area, and introduce a striking design feature. Consider its scale, hanging height and how the light falls across the room.
