Since I’m trying to take this social media thing a little more seriously now, I figured it would be nice to (re)introduce myself, for the people that might not know the face behind Popplestone Studio 😁

Unlocked a new favourite game today: matching my pictures to my hand-dyed yarns 🌈 (+ trying out my new lightbox for my product pictures - we’re upping the game big time)

Scilly truly is the prettiest colour palette 🥹

A beautiful bespoke project done and dusted 🌈
This lovely customer makes wool coats and asked for about 200 custom buttons to go with - so exciting.
I must say the colours, the patterns and the shapes were to die for…
Revealing the final buttons and all the steps it took to get there 🙂‍↕️
I’m so lucky to be trusted enough for these kinds of special projects, I loved every second of it! 🥰

Life at Popplestone Studio lately🌞 As always, many different projects ongoing at the same time but always full of colours 🌈 Here’s a little recap…

2- I’ve been working on this beautiful palette of about 200 custom buttons for one of my dear customers that makes wool coats. So so so much fun working with these colours - stay tuned for the reveal 🙂‍↕️

3- Summer doesn’t end when you work with these shades… They remind me of a warm sunset and transparent summer waters 🥹🌅

4 - A fresh batch of blue-toned jewellery that will be available online very soon… maybe on a brand new website? *wink* 🤫 Some are available in the shop while we patiently wait 🙂‍↕️

5 - So many different options, one for every occasion and for every ear. Quite excited to see my customers wear these 💙🩵

6 - A fresh batch of yarn from Ted Knits has arrived and made it on the colour wall at the shop… No wonder I’m always thinking of new colour pairings when this is my view 🌈

7 - Had been toying with the idea of having a little revamp of the shop and move all the furniture around to start the new season on a high and I must say I love the result 🙂‍↕️ My house may not be done but at least the studio is looking 10/10 😅

8 - Put some art out and received some lovely flowers as a thank you for babysitting a friend’s chickens (more to come) 🐓😂

9 - The cards have been quite popular lately… Birding season is here on Scilly and it shows 🐧 Always quite fun to see the excitement! 😁 My dear son Jacob and his wife Lián have also gotten the birding bug, but on the other side of the world, in New Zealand! Thinking about them extra these days 🐦‍⬛

10 - In true Em fashion - a little bit of procrastinating can be found when it comes to unpacking this knitting needles order, working on my buttons is just so much more fun 😅 Maybe I’ll get to it this week… 🤷🏼‍♀️

It’s crafternoon here at the cafe today (Tuesday) - bring your projects, sit & chat to other crafters over a cuppa & a piece of cake!

If you’ve not got a project on the go, head on down to Popplestone Studio to get some yarn or a mini crafty project - they’ve got loads to choose from in the shop!

We open at 3 - 9pm.

Non crafters welcome too!!!!
